My cousin is 16 almost 17 and is a bridesmaid so she is getting her own invitation.

they're supposed to etiquette wise but i don't see the point in spending the money on an extra invite that they're going to throw out anyway...i think its easier to just send an invitation to the entire family than to have to worry about each person 16 and over getting their own invite

so let's say.. I have a family of 5 and there is one 12 year old

Mr & Mrs. Y and family including 12 year old.

then

Ms. X and guest she is 18

Mr. Z and guest He is 16
????

No, I added them onto the parents invitation.

If you are inviting with guest, then they get their own invitation. I only had one 16 yr old and I didn't invite her with a guest.
18 should always get there own invitation IMO.

I have been with FH since I was 15 and we ALWAYS received our own invitations with guest to weddings for both sides of the family

i never realized that usually people dont do that

but i definitely want to do it now because it made me feel so special!

i only have a few though so I guess it would be different if I had more teenagers. . .

I did for one of my cousins on my mom's side, cause he would have been the only one that didn't get his own...
