I am really not a fan of veils. I originally thought to get one (super cheap) for the ceremony and then take it off for the reception. Do I even really need one? Has anyone seen a bride without it?

i have not seen any personally without one but I knwo someone at work did not wear one...I do not think you need to...It is your wedding if you do not want to wear it then do not wear it....
but you might have a few people that will say something about it...but oh well...you are happy right?

I am the last one to care about what other people think lol. I plan on wearing my hair down. I guess to wear it just for the effect? I don't know.

you dont need one, especially if you don't want one. My friend just got married and she did not wear one.

DO NOT NEED ONE!
I just wanted the traditional veil with the layer over my face as a blusher... but I have seen brides without them, in fact I think its now the thing to not have a veil..

I think it is completely up to you. My friend did not wear one and it wasn't like anyone asked her where her veil was.
I have been back and forth on the idea too but i decided to get one at least for the ceremony (something VERY simple no beading, or anything - no waterfall effect up top just something that sits flat against my head) -- then I can always just take it off!

I have seen plenty of people not wear one. I may choose not to myself. Not 100% sure yet. You absolutely do not have to wear one.

I have seen brides not wear a veil- I would still say just get a cheap one off Ebay or something and wear it just for the ceremony- that way you have pics with and without the veil.

I think you can do what you want. You can get a plain one on EBAY for like $30 then resell it

I don't think you NEED it, although I have seen in some girls reviews on here that they didn't want it, and then decided at the last minute to wear it and were happy that they did....I'm not crazy about it either, but I sort of feel like it's my only chance to wear it, I'm gonna wear it at least for the ceremony and see how I feel! I wouldn't want to regret not wearing it....although it's totally up to you! do what you want, it's your wedding
