do I have to invite...

My best friends parents? She invited them to my engagement party and so i was forced into sending them an invite and they came. I don't think they would care one way or another if they weren't invited to the wedding, but now i just feel stupid that they came to the engagement party.

Yes, I think you do. When you invite someone to your engagment party, they are going to assume they will be invited to the wedding as well. From what I understand you don't invite people to your engagement party unless you don't plan on inviting them to the wedding as well. But I could be wrong. i just think they will notice.

I read in a wedding etiquette book that you don't have to invite everyone you invited to the e-party to the wedding. But I think ultimately it is up to you-after all it is YOUR wedding. Good Luck!

i'm not sure what the etiquette book says, but i would probably invite them to the wedding if they were invited to the engagement party... jmo...

If you're trying to keep your guest list down, maybe asking your friend if her parents would understand if they weren't invited. Tell her it's not definite, but you are trying to play around with the numbers.
If you aren't comfortable doing that, I would probably invite them.
