I have the info on the wedding website, so I was hoping to just direct people there. I think I can only get one set of cards from the hotels, so I think I'd rather use those for the invitations because that's when most people will book, although I'd like to encourage them to book early.
When you get a STD do you normally go to the website for info? Do you think most people do?

Re: Do I need hotel cards in the STD?
I would say if you want them to go to the website them indicate that on the STD. If they are already printed without that info them include the hotel card...I did. you want to give you guests more than enought time to book

We put 'For more information abut the wedding please visit www.123abc.com'
Then there is a 'Lodging' page on the website that has the hotel info...

it's not necessary to put the hotel info in. We did it only because we had the rooms blocked and we got the matching hotel postcards for like $5 so we said why not.

Re: Do I need hotel cards in the STD?
I'm going to. I want people to book early so I can see how many people I need a shuttle for. Also, they unblock the rooms 5 weeks before, which doesn't give much time to book if they are with the invites. I won't count on people actually looking at the site, some older folks are still aren't so savvy. I am actually holding out on sending them because I have yet to get the block done! They are sitting there all addressed but not sealed yet!
ETA: You can also print some yourself if you don't have enough. I bought business card paper by Avery. You just go to their site, pick the paper type and you can write it however you want! You could also download the software if you have specific fonts and graphics you want to use.
