Do NOT go to Lillette's in Baldwin!

My sister-in-law went to Lillette's this past weekend to buy a veil that she had tried on in August. She ordered her gown in Chicago because that's where she was living last year. Since she didn't buy her gown at Lillette's, they were extremely rude and wouldn't help her.

They told her that because she didn't buy the dress there that she couldn't try it on with the veil. They also said they lost her card with the style number of the veil on it even though she was only there two months ago and wouldn't help her find it. After a few minutes of searching through the veils someone finally came over and said which veil it was, so im sure they had they card and just didnt want to help her.

Also keep in mind that there was no one else in the store so it's not as if they were really busy. They were so rude and obnoxious that she just left because she didn't even trust that if they ordered the veil it would be in the right color or here in time for the wedding.

So not only was the customer service incredibly horrible, but the price of the gown was double what she paid for it. I would really advise anyone from even walking in the store.

I went in there the other day looking for DOJ. I didn't get my dress there, but they were still helpful.

A few of the women who worked there hung out with me at the counter as i tried on a bunch of stuff and offered their opinions/advice. I wouldn't say that they were 100% professional, but they were still nice to me, and helped me out.

sorry your sister has such a bad experience :( i think that it's the little things like that that add up to a big wedding headache...

that sounds horrible!

i've been working with them and *keeping fingers crossed* have had nothing but a pleasent experience

Agreed. I was there once and they were beyond rude.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with them. I've heard that from others before but I got my dress there- I loved them!

I also ordered my veil from Barrons because their veils IMO was a little overpriced..you can try them if you know what style you want. I bet it will be cheaper

I had a horrible experience there, too. My consultant kept leaving me to answer the phone or go talk to a coworker.- very unprofessional in my opinion!
If you want to be treated with respect go to Bridal Reflections. That's not where I got my dress, but they treat you like a princess and don't go running off to help someone else! I got my dress at Helen's Bridal in Commack. Ashley is a-mazing! She is prob. in her early 30's...so laid back. Not pushy at all!

I have ordered my dress, veil, tiara, and will be ordering my BM dresses from there. Everytime I've gone, Gerri has really helped me out. She is such a sweetheart... I don't know who else you were dealing with, but maybe specifically ask for Gerri to help you guys out? The last thing you want is to get attitude from a place that is supposed to help you... I'm sorry

Just an idea...if you haven't ordered your BM dresses yet, try Bridal Elegance in Huntington and go through gownfind.com. Ask for phyllis. I ordered all of my gowns through her and had all the alterations done and they were much more reasonably priced. I've heard other horror stories about BM gowns from Lillette's too, so it might just be worth it to check out Phyllis' prices. Good Luck!

2 of my girls have already ordered them from Lillette's and the other 3 will be soon. Oh noooo I really dont want anything bad to happen during the alterations.... I had enough from Adrienne's in Islip that was a NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!! That's the number one reason why I didnt go there to get my dress.... I thought Lillettes was better...oh boy should I really be worried??

If some of your girls have already ordered them, then just stick with them. Just make sure you stay on top of them when the dresses come in and when its time for alterations.

i ordered my dress at bridal reflections, they really were wonderful

I got my dress there. I didn't even have an appt and someone helped me right away, and this was on a SUNDAY.

I guess I went in at a good time and was lucky enough to have a nice rep.

I wonder who was on duty when your sister went in there.

me too! I got my dress from them & my veil from Barron's.

My feedback on Lillette's would be that overall I was happy... My only gripe would be that once My dress came in, going for fittings after work seemed to be VERY busy and I always had to wait past my fitting time to be seen. But again, overall happy..

I never made it in the store, they were rude on the phone so I never went in

I think all bridal stores have their good/bad employee's , good and bad moments. I would never recommend ordering a veil from ANY bridal store they are all SO over priced, barrons is the way to go
