Do not play lists?

Does anyone have a do not play list for DJ or band....

I don't really have a list. I bascially said no Electric Slide, Macarena (sp), etc.

i've known my dj for ever... so he knows what to play and what not to play... i was just curious if anyone else had songs they didnt want played

We have a HUGE list because FH is extremely picky. When we interview bands, we ask them if they will stick to the 'do not play' list because we will not be happy if they play music we don't like! Definitely something that all DJs and bands should honor.

Agreed! lol I don't want grandma on the dance floor fracturing her hip doing the cha cha slide. i can just see it now.

Yes!!

FH has specific songs he cannot STAND!! So those will be included on the do not play list, as well as certain 'party songs'.

Yes, we have a list - haven't written down yet but we both know what songs we don't want - macarena, cha cha slide . . . FH's sister has a great list - will definitely be using a lot from her list on my do not play list.

I agree! My mother keeps fighting me tooth and nail about this claiming songs like those and the *gag* chicken dance get people 'up and dancing' and I keep telling her, this isn't a sweet 16, it's a wedding.

I have a few must play:

a lot of my sosority sisters are coming and thats our song
Paradise by the dashboard lights

I want to be the front of the conga line for once! The bride always gets to be the front at every other wedding. I want MY turn :)

And I havent decided on:
Cha Cha slide
