Do people ask you...

lol i got that at my sisters wedding. I just shake my head like uh huh point the finger and go 'you know it baby!' and when I walk away I'm like 'please who tf are you?!?!' and I laugh to myself.

If you wouldn't spend $115 on a dinner for them any other day...why is your wedding day any different. if you weren't a part of my life...especially if ur not blood...u getz tha boot

Yeh is has happened to me and I didnt even include them in my guest list. I just smile polietly and dont say anything. I just hope I dont see them again soon of after the wedding.

its true people are very rude--its your wedding you invite who you want

I have a problem with not being able to say no and so does FH
But now im looking at the list and just going back removing people. because its insane to invite someone you don't even see often specially someone you have never been close with. But it is hard and horrible that they put you in the situation to have to say no or just have awkward silence

See I want to invite co-workers but my FH said No! I work on a trading desk with these guys everyday 60 hours a week. We talk all the time, go to dinners, baseball games, etc..but my FH said they're just co-workers not friends.

so does my FH........FH works with a large trading desk..but he said only those who have hung out with him outside of work or invited him over their house...you know....

Yes, they ask us all the time! We aren't having a wedding that we are inviting everyone and anyone we know, max'ing out the room and partying with 400 people that we don't talk to enough on a daily basis.....we want intimate and refuse to invite people we know from HS, our neighborhood, our dog's friend's mother's sister, mother's friends or father's friends just for the sake of inviting them. Why would these people think they are invited? FH and I HATE this question!

My future mother in law gave us a list of like 40 friends she wants to invite! And we said no way in hell! And then his parents were very very very kind enough and said they're paying for the hall and his mothers goes well I'm paying so they're coming. I know it's very nice of them paying. the hall is a huge expense, but she didn't have to say it like that.

No one has really asked us that thankfully

id be annoyed if i someone said 'I better be invited' I know that people have good intentions but they dont know the bride and grooms situation. some are having small weddings, some are paying for it themselves and have to keep guest size low, some have a very large extended family and have to cut out friends. when they do that they put you in an awkward postion

the only one who asked was my cousin because he wanted to know if his kids were invited (they are 17 and 15) but he only wanted to know because of needing a hotel, so i wasnt bothered by it

i have a friend who keeps asking me if i'll be inviting HER friend (which is really just a friend of a friend acquaintance to me)... she's always asking me 'are you inviting so and so to your wedding?'

i'm like ***! how rude can you be!! why would i start inviting YOUR friends?!

Some people really do not understand how much a wedding is.

I actually had someone invite herself, her husband and 2 kids I politely told her it was going to be a very small wedding.

Ever since my FH and I got engaged random people we know ask us if they're invited to our wedding. How do you deal with that? They all say WE BETTER BE INVITED! Some are friends of Friends of ours or just acquaintances.

This happens to us all the time. MY FH is good with it and usualyl says, 'Man, Im trying to invite everyone but its getting so expensive'

We feel bad because we wish we could invite everyone but its just not possible. If its an acquaintance that you only see once in the blue that said it, just brush it off but if its someone you see a lot, explain the situation and tell them you'll really try.
