Things are off my Bed, Bath and Beyond registry (that's THE most popular one - and the last one I decided to do!), my Macy's registry and my honeymoon registry... but NOT ONE ITEM has been purchased from my Fortunoff registry!! Ya think something's wrong that items just aren't being removed from it or being reflected on the online list, or do people just not buy from Fortunoff? I thought that was the most popular place people bought from??

Re: Do people just not shop at Fortunoff??
well, maybe it's the location-- they only have one fortunoff in the area (on long island) and they have like fifty macy's so i would most likely go to macy's or BBB out of convienience.... maybe others are the same way??

I registered at crate and barrell, macys and fortunoff. I got practically nothing off my fortunoff. Had I rethought the whole thing I would have done everything at Macys

Okay.... I'm wrong, but not totally off. TWO items have been purchased off my Fortunoff registry (I just called to check). BUT Fortunoff doesn't keep the items on the registry list once they've been purchased! So, it doesn't say, REQUESTED 1 NEEDS 0, or anything like that. It just disappears.
It's weird how all the stores do it differently. Kind of confusing actually. Still, I'm surprised that more people don't 'do' Fortunoff.

there are not that many Fortunoffs, Macy's and BB&B are more common

Re: Do people just not shop at Fortunoff??
if i knew someone that had a forturnoff registry and they also had another one then i would go to the other one. my whole family does this as well.
a few reasons are: - depending on where you live, it can be a pain to get to. - it is expensive. you can get the same thing elsewhere for cheaper.
i dont know if the store has changed, but i went there a few years ago to get a watch battery replaced. i went there b/c they are an 'official' tag heuer repairer. they wanted $70 and i wouldnt have my watch back for 2 weeks! i went somewhere else and had it fixed for $10 and had it back in a half hour. it still works fine.

Re: Do people just not shop at Fortunoff??
i agree that fortunoff is not that common of a store, there are so few locations, it is also an expensive store, but when we registered at BBB, we saw our pots pans and dishes that we already registered for at Fortunoffs for the same price, so really its not more expensive on the big stuff
also you can check online to see what had been bought, once you go into your registry at the top you can click somewhere it says to show all items bought and still available

I agree that location might have to do with it. BBB and Macy's are all over so they are more convinient. Fortunoff, for me to travel to is a hike.

I have never in my life step foot into a fortunoff - it's overly priced, everything is usually out of stock, and um...there are no locations close to me.

yup! my aunt wanted to send me a platter from our crate and barrel registry, but at the time it was on backorder online, so she sent me a GC for it...but when i went online to look, i was able to order it just fine...but she didn't have a store to go to.
i agree with everyone, the location of the LI fortunoff is a bit of aturnoff to those who want to go pick up the gift instead of shipping it...since that costs more.

Re: Do people just not shop at Fortunoff??
I think its different for everyone. All my BBB stuff is flying off also, lots of things from Fortunoff have been purchased as well but I think maybe one person went to Crate & Barrel. I think it depends on where you live and the median age of people coming to you shower. Old school ladies love fortunoff, people love coupons at BBB, and for me, I think my friends would be the ones to venture to C&B cuz they have more contemporary stuff.

I think it depends where they live an where they like to shop. Almost everything for my shower was bought and fortunoff and very little was purchased at BB&B.

There's a place to click on top of the registry to see the entire registry, including what's been purchased.
I think people are buying less off that registry mainly due to convenience. There are BB&B's everywhere and they send coupons. Can you move some of your stuff over from your Fortunoff registry?
Fortunoff itself has a good selection and competitive prices (I've seen them price china at half the price of Macy's) and I've never had problems with items being out of stock. It's just that there aren't that many of them!

Totally agree. I didn't register at Fortunoff's because it is just not convenient for my family or FH's. Not to mention I don't enjoy shopping there...have had some rude salespeople!

Re: Do people just not shop at Fortunoff??
I registered for a few things at BBB and Fortunoff. There is one item that sticks out in my mind as costing $3.99 at BBB and $9.99 at Fortunoff. That might explain it.

Re: Do people just not shop at Fortunoff??
I know what you mean - pretty much everything came off our BB&B registry, but practically nothing was bought at Fortunoff. I think especially for people who live in suffolk, they just don't want to take the ride out there.
Also BB&B always has 20% off coupons.

Yeah I registered at both Fortunoff & BBB and the items from BBB went faster than Fortunoff.

Re: Do people just not shop at Fortunoff??
Also - BBB are everywhere - Fortunoffs is in just one location, and its a pain to get to - I noticed thru mail I received more fortunoffs - you know, internet orders, but when peolpe went shopping in person, they went to BBB
