Do the Groom's Men have to Wear the Same Color as The Bridesmaids?

I have a royal purple color for the bridemaids dresses, and the men don't like it. So, we went with silver for the guys. Is this a big no or is this no big deal?

A lot of people pair silver with a color bridesmaid - it is easier then trying to match the exact shade of the bridesmaid dresses

My girls are in wine and the guys are going to wear the wine color tie and black vests.

Oh, that is a good idea, but I am not having ties, just tuxes, and vests. Thanks though for the idea.

I'm not a fan of matched colors, looks to prom-ish to me.

Our guys are wearing black vests & ties. We considered silver/grey for them too.

Girls are in red.

Thanks. I don't think it is odd now. But, I am glad to hear that it isn't. I thought it was a big no from what my mom and sister's had said. I personally didn't really think that it would matter. Thanks.

My girls are wearing navy blue and I don't like the way that looks with black so the guys will either be in charcoal grey, pewter or black vests and ties.
