yes... they need to know when they are supposed to go up and do the reading...
the deacon didnt announce when the readers should come up... at the RD he told them after this you come up... after that you come up.... and he told them to sit on the end of the pew so that they could get up and out easily

of course - they have to be at the rehearsal so they are obviously invited to the dinner!

yes we are inviting them with a guest to the RD. Not sure yet if we are going to get them a gift though. Maybe something very small to say thank you.
