at the mac store of any counters in bloomingdales, nordstrom or macy's?? or how does this work??
i want to get a new look but am unsure how much they chagre or antyhing....
perhaps this is a dumb question.....sorry in advance!

i believe MAC charges $40 (?) for a 'free makeover', the catch is they require you to buy X dollars of makeup, thus making the trial really not free...
i got a 'free makeover' at the perscriptives counter at the 34th street macy's in manhattan, totally by chance though. i went in 'knowing' what i wanted to buy, the makeup artist was there, and before i knew it, she transformed my whole face. i went in just wanting to buy foundation, but walked away with $150 in makeup because i really liked the colors and products she recommended. it was total chance/luck it happened this way for me

i went to lancome counter, and its free if you buy X dollar amount of their products, so not exactly free, but you are getting products that you'll be using, and you dont have to buy all that they try on you...

I know the estee lauder store in manhasset, when you buy 50$ worth of makeup, does a free make up application... my friends go there when they have a wedding they are attending .
