Only a couple of my family members know....basically mom and dad, because they're paying. I don't even think my sisters know.

I try not to. I hate when they ask me how much things cost because I know their thinking that it's probably to costly.

Only me, FH, and my mom know. A few others might have an idea if they keep track of what i say for the next year but no one else will know.

My parents do bc they are paying for about 85% of things....when we got engaged they told us their budget and anything over was our responsibility.

No. It's on a need to know basis. Since they are both contributing, (both sets of parents), if they ask how much we spend on a certain vendor, we will tell them. But I don't always tell FMIL the truth, because, she tells all her friends what we are paying per plate, how much our photag is, etc. I don't personally feel that it is appropriate, but she is a BIG mouth, and I can't NOT tell her, because it's her sons wedding too. If I actually hear her tell someone though, I will say something..

I made the mistake of telling everyone. I didn't know it was supposed to be a secret! People asked!!!

FH and I are paying for the wedding so we arent obligated to tell the parentals anything- however we tell them how much things are costing anyway.

our parents have a general idea bc they are giving us some money to help out...but we don't tell them the exact amount of each thing we have been booking.

My mom knows b/c she has been giving us money. Outside of immediate family, i dont think anyone needs to know.

I told one person what we were in the ballpark of and she replied with 'OMG that's SOOOOO much my wedding only cost $1200 WITH rings!'

I was thinking to myself 'Yeah but I want a NICE wedding'
