Just wondering...we have been doing this since we were dating for every holiday! Its hard but it works out I guess. We spend sometime with my family and then some with his.

His family is upstate NY and mine is here so we spend thanksgiving with his family (cause of the long weekend) and easter with my family. The hard part is Xmas. we drive 4 hours to his family on xmas eve morning and spend the day with them then on xmas morning we wake up early to drive 4 hours home to spend the day with my family.

We do the same thing, except FH only lives about 1hour and half..So far, both families seem to be ok with it...

I am very lucky, well in way, see my FH's parents live out of state so most of all the holidays are spent with mine here in NY.

This Easter, we only saw each other for about an hour in the morning. He came to my house for a little bit to see my parents, and I went to his to see his parents, but then we went separate ways.

He had dinner at his Aunt's house (one of his Aunt's was recently diagnosed and had surgery for an untreatable cancer), and I had dinner with my entire family (about 20) at my Grandparents.

We were on separate sides of LI, and it was NOT FUN.

since my family gets together in massapequa and his in oceanside its pretty easy we go to one for dinner and the other for desert the only that we don't split is thankgsgiving my mom does that at her house in PA so one year we go to my mom and the next we go his parents which are upstate.
Also x-mas works out cuz his family does x-mas eve and mine does the day
