Do you believe in spells/hexes?

Putting aside actual facts abut what spells really are in common modern day life, do you believe that someone can put a hex or spel on someone else that wuld make them either have bad luck or fial at something o change thier personality?

Everyone is saying someone put a spell on my dad. I'm starting to wonder..because his behavior changed so drastically.

Also it's interesting b/c there's such a fine line between extreme mental illness and what people would consider possession by an evil spirit.

Anyway, do you think it's possible for someone to put some kind fo dark magic spell on someone else?

No.

But I think it's possible to mess with someone and make them believe that you put a spell on them, which could cause their behavior to change. Kind of like a placebo effect, I guess. Except not.

Jeez, what a useless answer!

My grandmother's cousins had a fight and one screamed at the other 'May your daughters never see the face of a man'. The woman had four daughters were spinsters in their 70's.

I believe to an extent.

I was going to basically say the same thing..it's the power of suggestion.

Power of suggestion!! That's exactly what I meant to say but couldn't find the right word...total brain fart. Thanks!

Wow I never thought about it. In 2 seconds or less, I'd say no.

I believe in the power of suggestion....when my X and I broke up it was nasty....the last time I ever spoke to him, I told him I had 3 wishes for him....1. He would end up being with someone only because of a child...he will never find true love and be happy. 2. I wish that he would never amount to much...because he is to stupid to realize when oppurtunity is staring him straight in the face 3. His family will always tell him; you never should have let Dannielle go...she was the best thing that ever happened to you.

Well 3 months after I said this....he was married to a woman that he hates because she was prego. He was offered a job in a small but growing business, but he turned it down for another co that went bankrupt within 6 months of him working there. And finally...5 years later his sisters and mother still call me to tell me how much they miss me, and how happy they are that I have moved on and made a better life for myself...because he has gone no where.

I agree mostly with the idea that it't the power of suggestion, but I think that's part of the purpose of a hex, to make the person spend time thinking about it and worrying. There was a book called Thinner I think by Steven King that was about a curse being cast over 3 men, it was really freaky.
