ok i am having major dress issues ... i love a few dresses and dont know how to decided ... everyone keeps saying 'you''ll know ... you'll know!' but really is it like that?
when i first met my FH he was just a guy haha i didnt know he was the one ... until later on that is! there was a point where i realized, 'he is the one!' but it wasnt at first...
so are there any brides out there who bought a dressed they liked ... a nice dress that fit them nice ... who didnt get the 'feeling' or know right away that 'it was the one'? i would really like to know that im not going crazy because if i hear 'you'll just know' one more time i might go crazy!!!

Re: do you believe in 'the one'?
lsiten, i got the 'its the one feeling' cried and everything only to realize 8 months later that it wasnt the one and i didnt want it...luckily i was able to exchange the dress. So, no I don't necessarily think there is a 'one.' I tried to think of what i could see myself walking down the aisle in, something that i felt beautiful in. I bet I could have found 4 other dresses I liked as well, but i stopped looking now. Does htat make sense/

Re: do you believe in 'the one'?
For Debi and Donna, it seemed to work that way!!!!Both Debi and Donna knew they had the 'one' !!!!! Actually, with Debi, we prayed to be guided to the 'one', and it worked!!!!! Debi had tried on many gowns, none of which we liked; The last gown, had just been brought into the salon, and had never been tried on!!!!! It was the 'one'. With Donna, she took several gowns into the dressing room, tried on the first one, and it was the 'one'. Mary MOB

i actually think many can be 'the one'.... thats my theory on things... so yea, i do like my dress, but im sure if i looked hard enough, i could find one that i liked more and that cycle is never ending!
so you have to be content with your choice... thats what i think...

AHHH i didnt know what to say ... i really liked it and they both really liked it too ... i just didnt get this magical 'the one' dress feeling so im scared to buy it ... does that make sense?

Did you try on any that you didnt want to take off?
Because thats how it should feel.

I dunno Mich I hate to say it but I did know my dress was 'the one'. I tried on so many other dresses that I loved, I mean really loved but when I put on my gown I just got this overwhelming feeling like 'this is what I'm suppose to wear when he sees me walking down the aisle' If I were you I would just go check out a few more bridal salons just to see what they have, you dont want to feel like you didnt shop around enough.
Good Luck

not exactly true.... i waited for about an hour for this 1 chick to get out of a dress so that i could try it on.... all she did was parade around from mirror to mirror and she still wasnt sure... (i know bc i was having full conversations with this girl and her mother) as far as i know, she left the store with nothing... lol

I love my dress...
But I walked into David's Bridal to pick it up today and saw a girl who looked so gorgeous in hers that I wanted her dress too!
I don't think it's really like that... you just have to love it.

That *****! People can be really rude.
I tried on a few gowns and there was one that I just blurted out... 'I don't want to take this off' And the girl who was helping me said... .. Thats how she knew it was the dress for me.
But who knows... its a big decision!

You are not alone!! I felt that way for a really long time. I tried on sooo many dresses and then one I found one that I lovedddddd but I didn't feel like that was the best one and that I couldn't find a better one. My dad was like 'yeah you're right there probably is a better one out there but if you keep looking you will get more confused and will get fed up with looking, if you love this one it can very well be 'the one' and maybe you just arent allowing yourself to get 'that feeling'' ... and i think he was right because I ordered that dress and now can imagine having it any other way

Re: do you believe in 'the one'?
You will definitely know when it is the one. I looked for 3 months before I 'knew' it was the one. In fact I even went back to try on my dress like 4 times before I made up my mind...but this was only b.c it was waaaayyyyy more $$$ than I hoped to spend. Had it been in my price range to begin with I would have ordered it the same day.
