Do you feel the pressure...

Original post by MrsDtoBe09

to have a really original memorable wedding? I feel like all I do is look for fun original touches and different things for my wedding that no one has seen before. I don't know if it has something to do with everyone's reaction when they hear I'm getting married on a holiday (or a holiday to me ) but I feel almost stressed! Isn't that silly? I know the day is all about fh and myself but a small part of me keeps thinking it's got to be fun, it's got to be different, it's got to be something people will remember forever!

Dont stress yourself over that stuff.

So are you saying I shouldn't buy 15 different dog Halloween costumes so I can take a picture of Jeter in a different costume for each table number? It's a sickness, really... this is a comtemplation of mine!

always! i just spent 60 dollars on matches for my OOT bags to go with the candles that im going to personalize...its sick

and you feel like it's a non-negotiable item, right? It's sick. Newlyweds.... don't kill me. I know I'm being super obnoxious and I will see in hindsight I didnt need any of it.

yea, bc in my sick bride head...im like the OOT guests need candles in case they want to be relaxed in the hotel room, and they will need matches to light the candles, and i want the matches to have a 'P' on them...its SICK!

Remember that the OOT guests staying at the hotels may not want to light candles & set off the alarms in the place. Thats what happened at The Inn at Fox yup & it was my cousin who did it. hahahahahaha I guess the smoke from the candle was to much for the detectors. lol

holy moly i didnt think that would happen....ill include them (since i ordered them already) and ill put some outside of my CH for smokers

I have never bought something and then returned it knowing that I would do so but I am highly tempted to do this. I think my mom could make some costumes though... it's sad but this is important. If he wouldn't eat my dress, drool everywhere and shed on me he would totally be at my wedding!

maybe try an ebay seller and ask for a discount on multiple costumes.... i did that with something for my cp and they accepted it... you could also sell them back afterwards if you really wanted to...

I dont think I feel stressed to live up to other people but I just want my wedding to scream 'this is so Jen and Mike' so that is what makes me nuts....just trying to put a little bit of us into everything.

Okay, I'm going to sound even nerdier than I already do but my mom and I love to do crafty things together and this Spring we're taking sewing classes (like with a sewing machine). She already knows how to and I know the basics but we're going to learn how to recreate patterned things and stuff like that so I was thinking we could make Jeter costumes like that.

I think it's 25% wedding sickness on this one and 75% I'm obsessed with my dog though.

Re: Do you feel the pressure...

I'm not super stressing, because I don't have to go overboard with much, our church is very ornate, and our RH is too...so it can kind of speak for itself. I'm more concerned with it looking tacky and that we cheaped out with our CPs. Ugh.
