to have a really original memorable wedding? I feel like all I do is look for fun original touches and different things for my wedding that no one has seen before. I don't know if it has something to do with everyone's reaction when they hear I'm getting married on a holiday (or a holiday to me ) but I feel almost stressed! Isn't that silly? I know the day is all about fh and myself but a small part of me keeps thinking it's got to be fun, it's got to be different, it's got to be something people will remember forever!

I can understand why you feel stressed...i think everyone wants their wedding to be memorable. But to be honest, I just keep thinking that as long as it is memorable for US than its perfect. Of course I want people to have a good tme but i can't afford to kill myself looking for original touches that probably have been done before anyway lol. Its a tough balancing act! Dont stress though, your wedding will be fabulous ang!

what actually made me feel good before was thinkin... by making my own cp's, i basically saved us half the cost than if we were to have flowers... so i can spend a little somewhere else then...

Which reminds me of two things.... number one, get your butt to the Christmas Tree Shop on SI, not Deer Park - that one s ucks - but SI - they have a ton of adorable beachy things already and two, your invite lady is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got my sample the other day and I was literally hugging and kissing it. You know she handstamps anything besides writing she puts on her invites? I asked her about the graphic on mine and she was like, oh it's handstamped... everything I do is really hand done. I was dying! I love her and now I need everything she makes for my wedding.

I have to say I dont think I am looking for that something special only cause the whole day will be but, I do want some different things, like my CPs. girls dresses not following the 'dress code' but, looking more like 'Gee I didnt think Chris would do that' reaction with my family.

My mom gave me some pretty good advice on this one. She just said that since everyone is tryin to be original, the more traditional you are, the more your wedding actually stands out at this point.

i'm trying not to go crazy with the little things
my girlfriend got married in december and did SO many cute little things....personalized everything
and she said in the end she really did it for herself....she said the only thing people commented on was the food and music
its soo easy to get caught up in it though

While i understand this totally. Dont drive yourself crazy. In the end what makes the wedding is not the many the little different things. Its the few different & basically your guests. If they are fun & you two are fun its what makes the wedding. The entertainment & food & the mood you make it. So dont go crazy with a million little things. Just have a blast!!!! Dont stress yourself over that stuff.

Remember that the OOT guests staying at the hotels may not want to light candles & set off the alarms in the place. Thats what happened at The Inn at Fox yup & it was my cousin who did it. hahahahahaha I guess the smoke from the candle was to much for the detectors. lol

yeah, i cant believe she hand makes everything either... its soo awesome and she really was the best person to work with.... you can thank maureen for that though... she found her and was using her until all that crap went down... but anwyays, i was just lookin at my invites earlier and every time i see em, im in love again... never thought id get that way with invites

My fam is saying this will be the wedding of the year! I want to have a memorable wedding but I also want it to be fun!
My cousin married a 'doctor' about 2 years back and anytime my wedding comes up, Her mother goes on and on about her daughters wedding wedding to the 'doctor' so a part of me ( the childish competitive part) wants to UPSTAGE her wedding which by the way wont be hard to do lol no but seriously I just want a beautiful day!

Well then thank you Maureen! I hope she's doing well, I think about her often! I never thought I'd fall in love with invites AGAIN!
