Re: do you & FI live together?
We've been together almost 4 years & we just moved in together into a new apartment for the 2 of us 2 months ago. I had my own studio in NYC for pretty much the whole 4 years (we met right after I moved in) & he lived with his folks. So far so good! We'll be getting married in May. I keep wondering why we didn't do it sooner!

Fh and I had lived together for 2 1/2 years. Wow time flies. The house I was living in was getting sold so he asked me to move in with him. Def one of the best moves I made.

Re: do you & FI live together?
We moved in together on our 6 month anniversary over 3 years ago and we just moved to a bigger place at the end of May. It certainly put our relationship to the test, and we wound up in counseling for over a year, but I'd much rather have gotten most of that over with before we get married to know whether it's surmountable than after we get married and wonder if I made a huge mistake. I do sometimes wish we weren't getting married having known each other's habits so well and having nothing really new to look forward to immediately after the wedding, because I imagine that life will pretty much return to how it's been after the big day, but I'm so glad I found out whether I can live with him before we decided to get married!

As soon as we got engaged, we moved in together. My parents flipped but have accepted it now! And it takes adjusting - realizing you CAN go watch SATC in another room while he watches Steven Seagal, lol. You don't have to be together all the time. That was my experience.

Re: do you & FI live together?
We dated for 2 years, then moved in for 3 years and are getting married in 5 week!!
I am SOOOO glad that we loved together first b/c those first few months were rough and I would have hated to have been newleyweds bickering about all the crap we did.... But that's just me....I am anal about stuff...hehe!

We lived together for 1 1/2 years before we got married... got engaged first... personally i couldn't marry someone without knowing how it was ot live with them. Our families sorta flipped bc we come from catholic families, but they got used to it.

We were old fashioned. We moved out together. It's been the easiest transition ever.
just to comment on the 'old fashioned' thing...years ago...people were engaged for only 1-3 months...nowadays we need to wait, to plan, to book, to pay....
in victorian times it was perfectly acceptable to have sex when engaged (since there was no waiting...the baby would be born after the marriage)
