Do you have an indecisive FH?? Vent thread

Do you have an indecisive FH?? Vent thread

*taking deep breaths to calm down* Ok. As some of you know, i am new here and i was about to book VIP for both my ceremony and reception. A couple of days ago, my FH said he is fine with either the Fountainhead or VIP. So I made up my mind yesterday afternoon and told him last night that I am making a deposit on VIP. Now why in the hell does my FH calls me up at my job and about two hours before I leave the office to ask me why not Fountainhead? I think we should go with Fountainhead. He and I both know that Fountainhead is asking for more money per person and more people (we have 75 people but say 70 will come). Now i know why he wants Fountainhead and its because they have a damn skylight Chapel room. Now in all reasoning, we are only going to have a ceremony for 30 minutes, so why determine the facility on a chapel room that is only going to be used for 30 minutes out of 6 hours??. . I known this man for 17 years and ever since we got engaged last October, he had made it pretty hard for us to decide on a damn place. Always changing his damn mind on either the location or because of the costs of the wedding. I am sick of this ish.

Sorry but I had to vent because i know I am going to go off on him big time when i see him. He had to get off the phone a few minutes ago to take care of something. I remained calm on the phone but I am slowly losing my temper. He knows that we have such a short time frame between now and the summer. Why in the hell is he so indecisive???

Sorry for the long vent. Any other indecisive men, or is it just mine?

So now I am really heart broken. I just got off the phone with BM at VIP and they said that they won't do the afternoon/evening wedding at the price they originally quoted me on, which was written down. They are trying to add an additional $20 per person, about an extra $1400. So i have to cancel them out now.

Damn! What a day.

I'm usually the indecisive one, but when it comes to wedding stuff I seem to know what I want! One thing he has been doing lately though is... he won't mention anything about a certain wedding decision for months on end... whenever I bring it up, he seems uninterested and like he doesn't care either way. Then, just when I finally decide what to do, and DO it... he says Oh, I think we should pick this, or do it this way, or order that one. I'm like... ??? You haven't said anything ALL this time and NOW suddenly you want to make the decision?! UGH!! Men!!

they have to honor the quote if its in writing, unless the quote states the price can change without provocation before actual agreement is contracted

really?? So if they had put down the amount on the sheets, they will have to honor it?

as far as I know yes. Read the wole quote, it is essentially a contract in itself.

Read the back as well, there may be a clause.

Truth is, if they don't honor it they know darn well you won't sue them to honor it. Who has money to sue a reception hall AND pay for a wedding?

However, if they do not honor it you can blow up their spot with B.B.B. and any forum where they are listed as a RH vendor.

Just Talk to BM and tell them your dilemma with FH. If BM is a jack@ss you should move on........

They don't have a clause anywhere. nothing on the back of the forms either.

I had a feelin i should had asked for another banquet manager. The person who i had dealt with is Mike and i can't believe he pulled this sh*t. I spoke to him about 4 times and now he acts as if the price was a mistake.

If that is the case, i have free legal consultation at my job. I also have something that is a lawyer insurance plan that I pay an amount for each paycheck, so if i need a lawer, I can use one with no extra charge.

I was thinking about talking this over with FH before I get started on this problem. I am now so upset because I really wanted VIP.

Re: Do you have an indecisive FH?? Vent thread

I had called them back an hour and a half ago and they said someone will call me back within the hour. But no call. So i called them back just now and ask for a general manager and he told me that they can not do it because they will be losing money if they keep it in the middle of the afternoon like that and that my party is too small for them to charge so little. But i told him that they should honor their consulting fee form that included the date, time and the amount they said they will charge me. So they asked for me to fax them the form their BM gave me and they will call me back.

So I am waiting for their call back.
