that really sux to have the added stress Marymoon!!!!! I have something similar -- my future BIL has made noises about not coming if we don't invite his 11 year old son. We are NOT having kids, so if he doesn't want to come, OH WELL.

Fh's family is not at qall relgious, and would be fine with a 'neutral location', my mom is extremely relgious, I'm also religious, but my mom is over the top religious and says she won't come if it's not in a church

And the 'give them time' argument doens't work. We've been engaged for well over a year

what did Jesus say about the temple in Jerusalem....maybe your mom needs to be reminded....God is everywhere....you don't need to be in a church to pray and have God bless you or your marriage!

I know. I keep telling my mom according to church rules I can get married just about anywhere since FH is not catholic, and why are her rules more important than the vatican itself? we'll see

it's hard enough to come ot decisions among ourselves being interfiath, without everyone e;se's pressure

Marymoon, you always give us such good advice and we love you. If people back out on you, WE'LL come and celebrate your wedding....I am so happy you've found someone to love and that loves you!!! It should be celebrated! so cheers to you and your FH- don't be sad!

I understand what your goin through a friend of mine went through the same thing but she jsut said this is our day and this is what we are doing they got married at the reception hall outside and it was very nice. They had 2 officients She was so stressed out cuz people were pulling the same thing and she finally got fed up and told them all where to go and she told her FH that she had enough and she wanted to go to vegas well he talked to his family and they were not happy with them going to vegas and she talked to her and they were not happy about that and they a ll finally jsut let them do what they wanted.

Maybe try that approach

I feel so bad for you I thought I was having troubles with the inlaws

I hear you -- my aunt, who I feel very close to, is already telling me that she isn't coming because she has too much work in the beginning of the month. Sigh. I guess a year wasn't enough notice.
