Do you hold grudges?

Do you hold grudges?

I'd have to vote #4, depending on what the issue is.

I totally do. It is one of my biggest flaws.

ETA: It does depend on what it is thoguh. For the minor petty things, I just let it roll off my back.

i hold a grudge until the person redeems themself. then i will usually forget.

yes it really depends on what it is about.
There are a few instances in my life that I will hold a grudege until I die...or maybe longer.

The petty stuff? I just let that roll off my back while I laugh.

It depends on the severity of the offense. I can think of something that happened to me in middle school, and I know I will hold onto that one forever. Sad but true. Other things, not so much.

TOTALLY depends.

if it was just a small thing, then i don't, but if it was a big thing or a repeated thing, I cna tyr to forgive but it'll always be there. Like I don't think I'll ever be able to fully forgive my in-laws.

Yes I have and I almost got separted over it and in the long run I learned I needed to just let it go & just talk it out.

depends on what it is about! Some are easy to forgive and forget - some are not.

I was going to say the same thing. I wish I could change this about me, but it's very hard

For the most part with me if I have an argument with someone I will be mad for a few days and then I get all soft and feel bad and try to get over it. Only just this past incedent have I cut all ties with a family member and will never speak to this person again because it went to far on their part

Me too. I know that this is one of the things that I will just have to accept about myself.

Re: Do you hold grudges?

My DH can turn around after an argument and say 'So what do yuo want for dinner, honey?' It drives me nuts!!!! I think it's because he's a twin and very competitive. HE and his brother can call each other the most horrible things you've ever heard and then be the best of friends.

I'm working on it...but I tend to hold grudges for a long time. It's one of those things that being married is slowly helping me to get over.

I hold grudges depending on what it is...

Re: Do you hold grudges?

I said #4. but also depends on what.
I forgave one of my friends 4 times before I had to actually cut her loose. Now I don't hold grudges, but I only give second chances.

Re: Do you hold grudges?

The length of the grudge held is proportionate to the degree of the offense!

And of course depends on whether or not there were apologies or the person has since changed.

I agree. I wish I could get rid of some of the friends that hurt me to much though

it all depends...but usually the grudges that I do hold are till death...its usually something pretty bad...for example) throwing a cup of hot coffee at my mother...needless to say I haven't spoken to that person in 16 years.
