Do you judge other people weddings? POLL

I would have answered no to this question, but I shamefully did today. Someone showed me an invitation they received. I thought it was weird because it was in a business envelope. I let out a small gasp when I saw that it was done like a flyer. I quickly recovered and said they came out real nice. But I felt really bad afterwards. Do you find yourself judging other people's weddings?

Yes I do b/c it lets me see what I like about the wedding for my wedding & what I don't like so I can make sure it does not happen at my wedding.

My mother and her family constantly DOES which it irks me as I hate being compared and contrasted against past, present, and future weddings of other family members and friends of my mother's aunt.

A wedding is a celebration of a man and woman's unity, it is NOT a competition. Thus, weddings should not be judged, compared, or contrasted against past, present, or future weddings within one's own family. I told my mother and her family if they want fierce competetion they should compete in the Olympics. Prehaps, there should be a Wedding Olympics?

a LOT of people judged my wedding webpage and my stlye of wedding. They wrote nasty comments on my LIweddings webpage in the guest book. They called me a freak, a fat pig, trashy, etc... all because I choose to be different. I honestly don't knock other peoples weddings. Even if it isn't my taste, its what makes them happy. As for Eittique, I feel thats just a list of rules ment to be broken. Times change, styles change, people change. How a person has their wedding has to do with their taste, their creativity, and their budget. Like the invite, maybe they felt that nice flowers were more important than invites. Whatever the case, I wish you all luck!

I try not to, but I can't help comparing. I don't frown upon other's choices and I don't mean it in a bad way, but I do it.

i def do..but the thing is im learning that everyone is different..even if you know the people well enough..you just dont when it comes to weddings..i thought one of my friends would be in a totally different dress than she picked..and invites? i never would think she would pick what she did..just wierd i guess

My cousin got married almost 3 years ago and I remember finding myself criticizing every single detail of the wedding (starting from the invitations, her dress, the wedding cake, etc.)

Part of me was jealous because I was broke and couldn't plan my wedding even though I was engaged. I guess that's why I criticized it. So I will learn from other people's mistakes while planning my wedding.
