Do You Know What You Will Call Your FIL's After You Get Married?

I already call his mother mom. His stepfather passed away.

FH works with my dad so I think he will still call him by is name and I think he will probably call my mom by her name also.

i call them by their first names and will do so after the wedding. I love them and they are great people, but i alredy have two fantastic parents and i just dont feel comfortable

I agree also. I think I started calling her mom because she has a long name and also, everyone calls her mom, so it just kind of stuck. My parents call my grandmothers mom.

I don't feel comfortable with Mom and Dad

I think Jake calls my Dad Mr. XXXX- not sure why

I absolutely adore my FIL’s, especially my FMIL but I have my Mom & Dad,
And IMO they are the only ones that deserve that title. I call FILs by their first names and will continue doing so after the wedding. My FH does the same with my parents.

no really, probably by first names. I wouldn't feel comfortable calling them mom and dad.

I'm not sure yet. 'Mom' and 'Dad' because it's easy, but I call my step-dad by his first name, so it's hard and may be uncomfortable. I'm not sure yet.

FI calls my parents by their first name.

I call MIL by her first name, I don't call my FIL anything.......I know it's AWFUL but I just kind of wait to catch his eye - I know he wants me to call him 'dad' but I just can not do it .......I HAVE a Mom and Dad ..
DH calls my parents whatever. - I think he still calls my Dad 'Mr. M.' which is what everyone calls him.......he calls my Mom, 'Mom' sometimes. or he'll call her 'Lu' -

I always knew I wanted to call them Mom and Dad because my parents always wanted their son/ daughter in laws to call them Mom and Dad. But unfortunately ,too much time went by for my siblings significant others where it got to that 'weird' time that it was too late to call them anything.

My FMIL actually said right after the shower, what are you going to call me? I said, 'I'd like to call you Mom.' She said that sounded good. I couldn't believe it was that easy. it will be weird, definitely, because its not as though they are the most loving, affectionate, warmest creatures (like my parents ) But I know its important to them.

I could never call my MIL Mom. I would think that was disrespectful to my Mom who raised me. But that's just me! I call her by my first name.

DH doesn't call my parents anything! He avoids having to refer to them by name. I'd guess he'd call them by first names if he had to.

I'm going to guess this will all change when the grandkids come around though.

edited to add the DH's dad is deceased.
