Fh and I had ths convo last night. I personally don't think I would ever let someone try on my e-ring. I've met strangers who do this all the time. When you compliment them they are like 'you wanna try it on?'
Have you ever let anyone try on you ring? I am so superstitious sometimes. I would be freaked out and think it was bad luck. hmmm..

Re: Do you let other women try on your e-ring?
absolutely not!!!
I will never take my off for anyone to try on!!!
family or not, it is not coming off my finger.
I think people can look at my ring on my finger, that is enough.
I think it is rude for someone to ask to try it on!

I let some people try it on. Never a stranger, but I let all of my friends try it on. I was the first one of my friends to get engaged so a lot of them asked and I didn't mind. Although I have a little rule. Old and superstitious but I don't care. If someone wants to try my ring on, I have to put it on a flat surface and then they can pick it up and put it on.

Re: Do you let other women try on your e-ring?
to me it's an odd question.... no one has ever asked me to try on my engagement ring....
it seems sort of strange to me for someone (no matter whom) to try on your jewelry overall....
the only time I can see that happening is when people are discussing ring sizes.... (sort of like trying on a friends glasses while discussing our blurry vision)

There has only been one other person who has put my ring on and that's my sister. She has put it on twice to say to FH look how nice it looks and could he buy her one too. Other than her no one else has touched it.

Re: Do you let other women try on your e-ring?
not a stranger and i wouldnt just offer for someone to but i wouldnt care if fam or friend wanted to so they could get an idea of what they like, size, etc. I tried on both of my sisters before i was engaged to see what i liked. They could care less. Somethings only bad luck if you give it that kind of energy. I dont believe in that kinda thing.

I think the only person that asked was my sister (mattandtricia07) and I let her...also my wedding band so she could get an idea of how two rings would look...... I
Yeah I had asked my sister, but I would never ask anyone else.
The DAY I got engaged a friend- not a very close friend by the way- asked to try it on. I was still in shock of being engaged so I let her and then she asked again and I said no! Just didn't feel right.

The only person thats ever put my ring on was my mom (I actually asked her to put it on) so that I could see the what it looks like on someone else's hand.
Other than that -- NEVER. I would think its rude if someone asked me to try it on.

Re: Do you let other women try on your e-ring?
One of my BMs likes to pretend she's a hand model with my ring on. It cracks me up. She holds her hand against her face and asks me if she could be a hand model. She then mocks me and says 'We're just so happy together.'
Gets me everytime.
But yeah, I've let some of my friends and family try it on. I just make sure they're within my eyesight

I let my Best Friend try it on but I recently had a discussion with FH and he is adamant about not letting people try it on. So if you do I would suggest it may not be a good idea for FH to find out
