Lemme give you girls a little background about me. I will be 41 in October, I am 5' 5' about 140 lbs (I BETTER LOSE AT LEAST 10 LBS BY THE WEDDING).I have small boobs and I am pretty 'hippy', I wouldnt say bottom heavy, but I have definately curvy hips. This is my second wedding. Because of my age, and shape, I do not think I can pull off alot of the beautiful gowns that your ladies can, however, I want to look absolutely stunning on my wedding. FH deserves nothing less. Can you take a look in my album and tell me if you like any of the three different dresses I am interested in? Thanks

I think they're all gorgeous, but if you say you're a little 'hippy' (and this is just my experience) the mermaid type might accentuate that. I'm very straight and when I tried on mermaid dresses I thought I looked 'hippy'. Really though, you have to try them on because it's really tough to tell what a dress will do for you until you're wearing it. The second dress looked kinda mermaid or trumpet style, so maybe #1 or #3. But I'd definitely try on #2 before ruling it out! Again, they're all very pretty dresses!

Thanks for the input...I totally agree about the mermaid effect. I didnt think of that. It doesnt take much to make my hips look huge in my mind.
I havent tried any of these yet...maybe I will hate all of them on me, just trying to get some ideas.

go to a salon w good customer service so they can recommend styles for you. you will find a dress and you will look amazing!!!!!!!

I loveee the first one! It actually remind me of my dress! I agree with the girl up above if you are a little hippy the mermaid style will make you look more hippy, and just won't do you the justice you deserve! I'm 5'1 and 113 lbs, I have a bigger bottom them top, and I tried on a few Monique Luhiller Mermaid style dresses and they just made me look fvery bottom heavy, my mom and sister agreed!
Honestly though I was sure I found 2 perfect dresses online and brought the picture in with me tried both of them on, and they just looked 'ok' I ended up gettting something different so you really never know until you look!

I really like the 2nd dress and I think that because of the detail on top, it might balance out your hips.
I think they're all worth trying on... I thought I'd hate how trumpet would look on me because I'm curvy as well, but as it turns out, it looks fabulous!

i love the first one and the second one ... the third might make you look flat chested .. I can say that cause I have small boobies too! My seamstress put two falsies on each side of my dress and it looked full!
