Do you like any of these dresses?

Lemme give you girls a little background about me. I will be 41 in October, I am 5' 5' about 140 lbs (I BETTER LOSE AT LEAST 10 LBS BY THE WEDDING).I have small boobs and I am pretty 'hippy', I wouldnt say bottom heavy, but I have definately curvy hips. This is my second wedding. Because of my age, and shape, I do not think I can pull off alot of the beautiful gowns that your ladies can, however, I want to look absolutely stunning on my wedding. FH deserves nothing less. Can you take a look in my album and tell me if you like any of the three different dresses I am interested in? Thanks

I think all of the dresses are very pretty but if you are hippy then you may want to re-think the cut. I tried on dresses like that and I think Im hippy and I wanted to cry when I put them on. Dont count out dresses because you think they are too young looking. I am not a young bride and I went with a pretty traditional dress. I just didnt go strapless.

You really have to try to these dresses on. I've tried on mermaid style dresses. Especially if they are fitted all the way down you really have to love you hips to wear that style bc it will accentuate it. Have you considered a ball gown style or A line?

First of all, all 3 of these dresses are BEAUTIFUL and STUNNING!! You will look gorgeous in all of them!

No, I didnt try any on yet. I probably wont go looking for dresses for a month or two. Just trying to get some ideas of what I like. Guess I should mention that I want to spend under $1,000 and these particular dresses are all under $1,000.

If you say you are a little 'hippy' with small boobs (just like me!) then I would go with the third one.

They are all beautiful, and you won't know until you try them on.

First I think that being 5'5 and at 140 lbs is really not bad at all, not that you asked for my opinion but Im just saying, I know that for that mixture of height and age, you are within your healthy range. But okay, that aside because I am the first one to understand when you just want to lose weight and you would feel better.

So, with that said, I think the dresses are all beautiful and appropriate for what you described but I think that will all accentuate your hips and it seems like you are not totally in love with that feature on yourself,. I would look into some a-lines, doesnt have to be a big puffy a-line or anything like that but just something that goes straight down but away from your hips. Like others said though too, if you didnt try these on yet, do that and once you do, you will start to really know what style you feel best in.

All three dresses are absolutely gorgeous you will look BEAUTIFUL in any of the three...I'm not sure i can really choose...if i had to id go 1 or 3..but all three are so pretty

I agree with what's been said that if you have hips those styles while beautiful might be too clingy and not flatter. but you never know, if you can find them, try them on.

I went with an A-line and the skirt wasn't that full but hid alot. so you might want to look at that type.

Estelle's dressy dresses in Farmingdale has a bridal department with a fairly good selection and alot betw $400 and $800 so you might look there for your budget. David's too but I liked the stuff at Estelle;s better. surprise to that one.

I love #1 & #3 and think they would be very appropriate. I like #2 also, but not as much as 1 & 3. I love how the top of #3 is different than most dresses you see, I think it makes it. But I wouldn't rule any out until you try them on. It's always what we think we don't like or won't look good on us ends up being the one!

thanks for saying that about me being in a healthy range for my age,etc, it is just that up until I was 35 I was on the thin side, so to me, I feel huge at this weight. I see pics of myself and I am really unhappy with the way I look. That is why I would like to lose about 10 lbs and firm up.

I think you may be right about the A-line being a better look for me, I am hoping though that I could actually get away with a look like #1 because that is what I really like.

Your choices are AMAZING!!!!

def. go and try them all on. I think they're each beautiful in their own way.

I think #1 would really elongate you! Esp with the vertical lace/beaded panels.
#2, same deal... my personal fav... and halter styles do fabulous things for boobies!
#3 is gorgeous as well, I particularly like the removable lace bolero! It also might conceal hips the best of the designs, but again, you'd be surprised... I'm a little hippy and the more form fitting designs did better to slim me than some of the A-lines. it all depends on the dress. And hips are gorgeous anyway! Show off your girlie figure!
