do you like these curtains? which color?

OK...here is the best pic I have of my couch...and as much as I would like to get a new one...DH and I have agreed to wait...so while I do want to 'match' the couch...I would like to stay in the neutral range...so that when we do get a new couch, the curtains will still go...

ETA: the couch is color mink...it looks brown in the pic...but it has a lot of green tones in it...DH and I argue whether it is green or brown

camel

lichen

latte

chocolate

ecru

also...with the color you think is best...do you think hardfood floors or a neutral tile would be nicer?

walls will be a nuetral beige/taupe color

What other 'accent' items are you incorporating? Are you looking to play up the green in the couch or tone it down?

Ecru is probably the 'safe' bet but since your walls are going to be beige...that might just be a little too blah.

Stef...I am just awful with interior design...so I thought I would start with the curtains...and then try to get some pillows...

I like the ecru...but thought the same about the walls...and I don't think I want to paint...

I would like to tone down the green...since its not supposed to be green

I would suggest figuring out exactly what you want the room to look like when its done and not buy anything until you have some good idea.

Like if you only have a the couch now (that is not even the color you like), dont buy things to match the couch unless you plan on throwing that out along witht he couch when you are ready.

I have a couch (that i thought was brown in the store and ended up gray in my house!) that I plan on getting rid of eventually. Realizing that gray is not the color scheme im going for, I bought curtains and pillows and paint that went with what I wanted and with the couch I plan on getting in a year or two.

If you really want curtains now - Target sells some okay ones for cheap that will probably due until you get the couch you really want - but wont kill you to replace when you do.

I would go with either the camel (bring out the warmer tones in the sofa and contrast nicely with the green tones) or the ecru (to stay neutral).

Pretty curtains, btw.

I do like the tones/shades of these curtains...and if I were to get another couch...I could match it to the curtains...

the couch will probably be with us for 3 more years...and even then we plan to keep it for a rec room (IF we move into a bigger place) although I don't think the curtains would be right for a rec room...

thanks for your opinions...I so need all the help I can get in this arena...

I have seen those curtains in latte they look very rich and can be used with a ton of colors.

I'd go with the chocolate to give the whole place a warm feel and not be too bland with the ecru that might match the paint color. Then you can get accent pillows in the light brown/greenish/dark brown family to accent the couch and the curtains. Does this make sense?

Love the curtains. Hard to say on color without seeing them together in person.

But I'm a big fan of color (I have a very RED couch) so I'm leaning towards the lichen. The camel looks great but from the pictures it seems to be almost an identical color to the couch - might be too much.

Next choice would be the ecru to keep things light. You could incorporate color in accent pieces, or some pillows on the couch.

stacedz...i was hoping that I could find pillows that could accent as well...

lisa...I don't think the picture is showing the couch very well...it is not like the camel at all...

I LOVE the curtians. Are you keeping the wall color the same??
I would accent pillows on your couch to match whichever colr curtain you choose.

I love the curtains, and I'm also liking the lichen.

If you would rather more neutral, I also like latte.

I am leaning towards the camel or maybe ecru if it won't be lighter then the walls and would probably use a scarf valance that would match the couch to tie it in together.

the wall color in the second one is the color they will be...

I think I like camel best...now I need...pillows....shelves...area rug....

You already have art. We also have some things we collected from travels, framed photos and candle holders around the living room.

Yabbo, the camel or ecru. I like the camel

Yabbo, what about making a cover for the couch in the color that you like and then getting what ever curtains you like the best. If you make a cover for this couch and use it for 3 years, its not so bad... And will keep the room's color dynamic consistent for when you purchase a new couch...

I like camel color for the curtains given the color of the couch. But I don't know what color category your dream couch is in.

Re: do you like these curtains? which color?

alina...I would be nervous that the slipcovers did not fit correctly...and they would look worse...

I do like nuetral tones - so our next couch would be in that range...
