I used to hate my name, especially around Christmas time, when I was younger. Now it's ok. I wanted a common name with a common spelling when I was younger. I probably would have changed it to Gabriella, since I used to love that.

I wouldn't change my first name but I don't necessarily like it (or hate it).
I did hate when I was a growing up and people called me WINDY instead of Wendy ...

I have gotten used to Heidi, but I don't think that I could say I like it. I don't feel like it is a grown up name. I also hate that 50% of people upon hearing my name have to say 'Heidi, Heidi' and the other 50% tell me that they used to have a dog named Heidi.

I like Cindy and no its not Cynthia...it isn't all that common, although at times I wished for a more grown-up name (it sounds very 50's & very cheerleader type)....
I used to like the name Katherine/Katie

My name is Christi.. overall im pretty happy with it.. BUT people are always tryign to call me christine which is NOT my name.. that annoys me..
But the name i love that i wish i would have (if i dindt have mine) is Veronica.. i used to give that name to 'scary' boys so id sound snottier and theyd know i didnt like them (ok in my mind... that made sense.. hahaha)

I used to hate my name - Lucillle - because it's an old lady name, and because everyone always tried to shorten it to Lucy (which is my grandmother's name). Now I love my name and the fact that it relates back to my grandparents (my grandfather was Luigi). I also love that you don't meet many Lucille's anymore - so I'm unique!
Most of my family and close friends call me Lu or LuLu.

As I kid I didn't like my name as it was different than everyone else's and I could never find anything with my name on it. As I got older, I liked it more because no one else has my name!!
P.S. I named both my kids 'popular' names so they could always find things with it on it!!

People ask is Lori is short for something like Lauren...
Oh...and lets not forget how many people cannot spell a simple little name like Lori...I get so many funky variations...not just the 'other' spelling Laurie.

I'm a Melissa too. Hate the name Mel - no one is allowed to call me that. I do get called Missa though but only by little kids. Mostly I'm referred to as Missy by my family and close friends otherwise it's Meliss.

No one calls me Missy, Melly, or Missa. Thank god! But so many times when people address me, they start calling me 'Michelle, oh, I mean Melissa.' The two names don't even sound alike!!!
