Do you love when FI stands up for you?

I was in bed today, off from work completely depressed because of all the wedding stress I am under especially with my florist (I have no parents or sibling to help me plan such a large wedding and am having like 200 pp)... anyway, i was lying in bed when he came home from work (works 80 hour weeks) and he shut the lights off in the bedroom so I could sleep, cooked me dinner- salmon and veggies, brought better in some frozen yogurt.
As I am coming out of my sleep, I hear him on the phone with my florist- he called the florist- and yelled at him because of how traumatized i was from my whole experience yesterday. He said, 'I was not happy to see my fiancee cry for 24 hours striaght yesterday. She's the love of my life, She is a bride and I want her feeling bridal!!! The florist apologized for his horrible mistreatment of me and my fi yelled at him- you better right this wrong. How are you going to make this up to her? The florist said we would comeback next wednesday and tables would be set with many sample centerpieces. I was crying b/c I am so lucky- feel like pretty woman.
And he did not even know I heard this!!!

That is amazingly sweet. It's the things they do that they think we don't know about that really shows their love for us.

FH's parents are divorced and basically hate each other's guts. His father is remarried to a woman neither of us likes. He is very worried about how things will go at our wedding with all the old family friends there who have chosen sides and haven't seen the other spouse in years and the fact that his father and new wife are both fairly heavy drinkers. FH's mother mentioned a conversation she had with him where he told her that he told his father (or was planning to) that if I should so much as shed a single tear of anything other than joy or cringe at even the slightest thing, he was going to have the offending party thrown out quietly and without my knowledge, including his father. When she told me that, my heart melted. She made me promise not to tell him about it because she thought I knew and didn't want him to be mad at her for telling me.

I think I'll try to think of that conversation the next time he leaves dishes in the sink.
