Do you plan on feeding the vendors?

Do you plan on feeding the vendors?

I didn't even think of this. My BM sent me an email asking if I planned on feeding them. If so where are they sitting? If not are they just eating at the cocktail hour?

yes....i think that its really horrible not to feed the people who are with you alll day...and also...do you want a hungry dj/mc at your wedding...can't work on an empty tummy.

I feel the exact opposite. My boss doesn't care if I'm hungry (or happy, comfortable, or overwhelmed... but thats a different story all together)

It burns me up that I was told I have to feed them. Brown bag it guys - like everyone else does. Its not like I go to a restaurant and see the waiters sitting down in the middle of the meal to take a break.

ETA - Kim didn't your hall tell you that. My hall was giving me a 'break' and charging me a discounted price. But I have to pay to put a centerpiece on the table.

I think they may be separated. By my hall lies alot. So its anyones guess - they are all probably going to be at my friggin table

I worked at SandCastle for a few years and the brides that put tables out for the vendors were hardly ever used. We would put the salad out and take it away, put the pasta and take it away. They didn't have time to sit down. I don't want to spend another $ x 10 people for meals. Plus add another CP. Can't have a table without flowers on it. Not sure how I feel about it.

I don't think any of my vendors actually ate, but I did pay for them to do so. As a person who needs to eat every 3-4 hours (even if it's just a snack), I would never expect another person to go without food for several hours (the DJ) or even the whole day (photographers). I didn't work out any special seating arrangements for them....I figured they'd work it out themselves.

We are feeding our vendors but FH gives us a discount on their plates. I didn't think about the CP though - thanks for posting this. Guess I will have to keep that in mind when I do my finals with John.

I am feeding my vendors. I don't expect anyone not to eat all day, that just isn't fair. My hall gives me a discount on them.

I though you had too? FF charges $50 for a vendor they didn't recommend and $25 for one they did

I never heard of them getting a table- I tought they ate in another room??

You're probably right about that..I dont think any of my vendors had the time to really sit down and use the table. Im pretty sure they did eat or at least I told my DOC to let them know they can take a break and eat. But someone told me they saw the vendors table empty.

hmm, no table for the vendors - oh well. only four of them anyways - they don't really need their own table :-P

They don't eat with the guests. The are off somewhere else and you certainly don't need a centerpiece for their table. You do have to feed them though.

I am definitely feeding my vendors ( there are only 3 of them).

ETA: I think it is horrible not to feed them. they're working hard for you and will be on their feet for hours. they're human beings, not robots. their meals are usually 1/2 price anyway.

of course!!! Not only do we pay them for their service sand tip them for their srvices...we have to pay for their plate.

I guess I will have to I hope they eat though I have a feeling they may be too busy but myhall said they are half priced if we did decide to pay for them
