If you do, how does it help you? Does it give you clarity, a sense of peace, hope, all three?

Re: Do you pray?
I pray and it does give me a sense of hope and peace. I don't always get clarity and that confuses me sometimes but I believe that the answers will not always be made clear to us. It's all a matter of faith. I hope that doesn't sound to preachy or anything.

Never. I'm zero percent religious.

It gives me hope that someone, somewhere has some control over all the craziness going on in the world...and in my family.

I don't think it sounds preachy. I never pray so I'm curious to know how it helps people who do. Maybe I should start.

I don't, I am not religious either.
Somewhat spiritual though... or I like to think so.

Re: Do you pray?
not only do i pray - i also still go to church. i am no 'holy roller' or come from a god fearing home - i personally do feel it gives me a sense of inner peace.
its one hour out of my week and it makes me feel better about myself. i often pray for the sick, stressed, tired, and i remember to be thankful for all my good fortunes. which i think are many.
i think religion is not something that can be forced - its something you need to FEEL.
try out the prayer - its similiar to mediation - maybe it will help bring you peace too.
good luck

Re: Do you pray?
I pray. Especially since I took PreCana. I have been taking a lot of time to do it while driving places. Especially if I am nervous or flustered. I still won't pray with FH though, which is one of the things they suggested.

Re: Do you pray?
I pray everyday and it gives me hope and calm. Clarity and peace are ideal, but not always accomplished.

Re: Do you pray?
I definitely pray. I wouldn't have peace without it. I used to pray a lot more than I do now, and I need to restore that part of my life to its former consistency. But yes, I defnitely do pray.

Re: Do you pray?
I pray. Praying gives me hope and peace. I truly believe they're being heard. My family has very strong beliefs in God. There's no doubt in our minds. Praying is a way for us to not only hope/ask for things, healings, etc., but also to give Thanks.

I pray, to give thanks for that I have, to be worthy of what i have been given and for my friends and family that are going thru hard times.

Re: Do you pray?
I pray out loud when no one is around. I'm not sure exactly what or who I believe I'm praying to but just talking out the problem or the dilemma to no one in particular with a sense that there is a higher power helps me with perspective.

Re: Do you pray?
I don't really, but I do think about about God & blessings & things like that thoughout the day, depending on the situaton.
I went to a Catholic university & even though I wasn't very religious, I found going to Sunday night mass very peaceful, especially in since everything was so crazy in college.

Re: Do you pray?
I do - I often try to thank God for when he really came through for DH and I - we had a horrible accident with our dog 4 days after we got him and I prayed so hard and had people on the doggie message boards pray, and all odds were against our dog that he was going to live, but he pulled through and I really believe it is because of the prayers.
