Do you run alone?

I really enjoy running, but it scares my DH that I go alone. I have running partners but they are not reliable. I would love to go before work, like 5:30 ish, or when I come home 7 ish. DH will go with me just to be nice, but he is thin and works full time and school full time so I hate bothering him. once we were running and he chased down the ice cream man

I just saw on the news last night how a jogger was almost raped at Connetquot park! So scary! I don't jog along, only with friends, and usual on a school track near us that always has people on it.

lol, thanks. It is terrible isn't it. I live in a nice neighborhood, just trying to get exercise and these animals have to ruin it. My grandmother is always convinced that the running victims are actually just gym owners calling in false reports hehe

I jog by myself when I rmemeber to go out and when I have someone to watch the kids. I only jog on main Street in flushing, whcih is always lit. not downtoen but more towards the LIE

I run alone all the time at night in my town (usually in the winter and early fall only). I honestly don't feel very afraid actually becaues i see so many people walking their dogs, jogging, sitting on their stoops and my town has houses right next to one another and they doors are always open should something happen. I'm more afraid of animals then humans attacking me. Like a nasty dog or something, but i try not to think about it. I have been running since 1997 and i can honestly say i have never had any issue except for a guy exposing himself to me (EWWWW). The guy was actually conficted and sentenced to 6 months. No animals have ever bothered me and i never even had a creepy person bother me. However, i watch myself. I always turn down my headphones when i run past someone who does not look right and i run a bit faster and i try to run along lit roads.

Yep, I run alone...there's only room for me on the treadmill!

I used to. well, I'm too fat to run, but I used to walk/jog in a residnetial neighborhood. The first part woudl be in a busy shopping area, but then I would go into the hilly part with th houses I coudl never afford. usually weekend later mornings ( 9-11ish), sometimes early evenings.

I guess it is a little dangerous, but I just can't live my life afraid to go anywhere alone.

I wouldn't go in a park or woods though.

My husband won't run, but he is a fast walker, so he tells me he will come with me & when I slow down to rest, he will catch up.

I Use to jog with my dad and sister when i was like 11 or 12 years old but i stopped jogging after high school i have not had the energy to do it anymore, I wish i kept it up because maybe i wouldn't be having thyroid problems.
