Do you salon hop

I've been salon hopping ever since I left my old girl years ago. I usually give a stylist 2 chances. The second time they mess my up my hair, I'm gone. My hair is pretty dark and has so much color in it from lightening it so you need to know what you're doing. My last girl I was really happy with but was stupid and decided to try someone new lol. So I tried a new girl, my FH actually knows her. Well after 2 times I'm not that pleased and she always blows my hair out like crap and it looks like straw afterwards. So now I'm back to my old girl on Friday. It's only been like 4 months and I've went to her when I messed up my hair doing it myself before, so if she says anything about me not seeing me for a while I can always say a friend was doing it for me since I'm saving my money. Good enough lie right?

No it's me. I'm gonna sound like a real loon. I thought I was on brides helping brides and posted this question on both boards so I deleted it, changed it only to realize I was on the same board all along

Re: Do you salon hop

I used to do this all the time. But I realized I was NEVER happy because they always chopped off too much of my hair. So I just started cutting and dyeing my own hair and have been happily doing so for years!

Nope. I've been going to the same girl for over 10 years now. I don't trust anyone else with my hair.

Re: Do you salon hop

nah, even if I am getting just a trim I go to my normal haircut person (she is a family friend so it's akward if i dont...i didnt get a hair cut in almost a year at one point [broke college intern phase of my life...] and the next time I went she was looking at me like i ditched her for someone else...)
But for my color I go to someone in the same salon but different than who I use for my cuts....this guy is a genius when it comes to coloring hair...

Re: Do you salon hop

I was a salon hopping wh0re until I found my present stylist. I love her. Its been 5 months of gorgeous color. I even go to her for haircuts even though it's kind of pricey. I have extremely thick hair and its been butchered too many times.

I have thick hair too but luckily I never had a bad cut. I did have one princess though complain how my hair is 'hard to cut' um never heard that one before.. and moan the whole time as she dryed it how thick it was. Needless to say I never went back.

I hate that!!! It takes me 15-20 minutes to do a decent blowdry. When they do it im sitting there for 30 minutes plus and they charge me extra- its bullcrap

Re: Do you salon hop

i used to have the same problem with my thick hair. i would get out of the shower & then take 30 minutes to dry it. & if i wanted it blown straight it would take my sister 45 minutes to straighten it.

but for some odd reason about 2 years ago it totally changed. when i get out of the shower i comb it straight & then dry for like 15 minutes & then it is will be pin straight. no gel, nothing.

I would pray for that miracle to happen. I've become totally lazy and now wear my hair up about 5 days a week. When I do blow dry it I use a straightening iron, which doesn't make it look the greatest but oh well..
