Yup, I have a firewall and I would know if someone was tracking me online. I have not paid for music in a long time. I like techno and half the stuff I download is live at some club or something and would not be able to buy anyhow.
BTW FYI...KAZAA IS SOOOO BAD FOR YOUR COMPUTER!!!!!!!! It has all sorts of spyware and ad downloaders that make more and more popups till your machine is soooo slow and practically USELESS! anyone who has it should remove it and run free spyware removers to get rid of the crap it leaves on your machine. Things like bonazi buddy, comet cursor, gator.....cydoor...it's all pretty nasty stuff. I work on computers and at least 90% of the people that come in w/ problems, they are related to spyware and/or viruses.

I agree - GET RID OF THAT!! spybot.com should have a free download to get rid of the spyware

I just unistalled Kazaa bc it SUCKS!!!! I don't know what spybot is though...

on my other computer I used Blubster...it worked well...

Pretty much all music downloading programs install spyware as part of the program. And if you remove the spyware the (original)program will not work. I use kazza lite k++, but you cant find that anymore for download. The milenium copyright act prevents any search engines from diplaying the link on a search and the creators page was taken down. It had a dummy spyware file that tricks the program into thinking the spyware is there when its not. If anyone wants it FM me w/ an email addy.
Spybot and adaware are utilities that remove spyware from your computer.

if you look at the webpage...it is now a pay site...so I guess that negates the legal issue...at least hopefully for people like us

yup thats a good one. last I heard that did not have spyware...I just stoped using it b/c I was getting really slow download and not finding alot of the files I was looking for.

That's for sure
Although Itunes is not bad. I've been using it occasionally to get certain songs. Just sux when they don't have the songs that you want.

It is a good idea to run spybot/search and destroy type programs on your machine - esp. if you have used programs like kazaa to dw music. You would be surprised how much spyware and ad ware they install on your machine. Just be careful when you run these - read what is going to be removed - it may take thing off and cause other programs not to run. PS Kazaa is one those programs that will not run - so if you want to continue to use kazaa then I would not run these programs.

Ok a bit confused...If I have KazaLite it did not give me spyware? If I run those spyware programs will it take off KazaLite or that will still run?

Next Question, what are the backdoors....you can FM if you want. Thanks.
