A backyard shower is great! We threw one once and it was a hawaain luau theme. They're not trashy at all. So much more relaxed when at someones home.

not at all, I think that its intimate and cozy! but you need to have a back-up plan incase the weather is bad!

I dont think its trashy at all. I actually think its a really great idea. I wouldnt mind having mine in my back yard or even in my house.

Me too...that's why when it came time to book a hall we didn't want to have our reception there. Both of our families have had parties there over the years. Don't get me wrong, the food is to die for! My mother was happy we decided to have the reception some place else, just so she can have my shower there.

I'm okay that she is having it there because it is convenient and everyone will enjoy it!

Not at all. A friend of mine had her bridal shower in a friend's backyard. They did a European cafe theme. It was awesome!!

i love the idea of a backyard BBQ !!! I think it sounds great but i agree on having a backup plan in case of weather!

Not at all - I have been to several, and they were all great. One was a luau (sp?), and it was so fun!

I dont think it's trashy at all. Backyard parties cna be very elegant and a shower is supposed to be informal anyway!

i've been to more then a few showers at a house and they are the best. there is no rush like at a restaurant and your guests are def more relaxed. if its what you want, go for it
