Do You Think It's Odd To Only Have Best Man and MOH?

We have decided to keep our reception at Leonard's and probably have around 140 people. I was able to take some options off to make the price way lower than what it was.

I really hate spending all of this money, and even though it might not be as small as I want, I still just want a simple wedding. If we have a bridal party, it would be like 6 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen. I think bridal gifts can come out pretty expensive in that case, and also since I'm not into the planning, I know it's going to be a pain to have to go for dresses and everything. At least with just my sister as MOH, we just get her dress or order it, and that's all. We'll still have 2 flowergirls and 2 ringbearers in the party too. Do you think it's weird to JUST have the best man and MOH in bridal party?

Thats exactly what I am doing...my best friend is MOH and FH's cousin is BM...I have a flower girl and ringbearer. FH loves that it's called a 'kings wedding' No BM's dresses to order...no fuss! The only downside is that the grooms tux won't be free b/c we are not renting at least 6 of them....LOL!

We had a small bridal party too - 2 best men & a MOH. Do what ever you want! The people that stand up with you should be the people that mean the most to you, don't worry about what other people think you should do.

We're having just an MOH and BM--saves tons of money (flowers, transportation, gifts, etc) and tons of aggravation!

Besides, I've been in bridal parties before and I've honestly felt like an accessory--you walk down the aisle, stand there, and then walk back, all in a dress that 5 other girls are wearing and that flatters no one!! My MOH means the most to me, so I'm having just her.

Why do you need to have more people in your bridal party than you want?
I think a MOH is perfect.
I have 3 BM and 2 GM and no FG or RB.
Small but we like it that way
