Do you think our jobs can see if we are on LIW?

Some people at work noticed that there was an eye watching their inter-office e-mails.Do you think they can see where we look on the web?

There are many different types of monitoring software that companies can use to know when, how long, where you visit on the web. They can also 'block' certain addresses, if they want to.
E-mail and web use are very different things.
If your company has stated that your e-mail account is NOT to be used for personal or non-work related activity then it is their right to monitor e-mails, if they chose. I would suggest using a hotmail or aol account for personal e-mails if you think there is an issue at your job.
In regards to Internet use most companies have a 'use for work related activity only' so they can tell you to stay off non-work related sites if they want to. Mainly that happens in larger companies, where there is a staff of more than 1 or 2 IT guys.

Well, if they are they haven't said anything to me so far!! I was told that they are more concerned at my job with porn sites, and those are the employees that they bust.

It started out that I was blocked a few weeks ago from teh words WEDDING, WED, BRIDE, and BRIDAL. As of Tuesday, they blocked the IP addresses as well!!!!

In all seriousness..I have a friend in human resources as a financial company that fired a girl because her internet reports were out of control. She spent an average of 4 hours a day on wedding websites....

This scares me!

HMMMMMMMMMMM this is very scary to me i work for Allstate & we always have big wigs in the office

Well, I kept it open and mimimized on my screen all day. We also print out productivity reports, and I have the highest numbers in both my NY and NJ office. Do they worry if it's active, or just if we are on the site minimized? ( I always wondered that...)
