I watched this french movie where this woman loved two different guys even though she was married.

What's your opinion?

that's the thing, every person's experiences are so different and therefore the motives behind the choices they make.

This situation is just complicated.

I saw my mom fall out of love with my dad..

there are many ways and reasons someone falls out of love with someone...And it is not necessairly a bad thing!

Oh you definately can fall out of love with someone. I speak from past experience. I was with my first boyfriend for 5 years and was so in love with him. By the time we had broken up, my stomach turned at the very thought of him.

OK, I think because there are so many different situations we're kind of talking about differnt things. I don't think you can wake up one morning and poof not be in love anymore. That's what I was talking about.
Yes, there are definitely factors that cause people to not be in love anymore - I wasn;t denying that

Yes, there are definitely factors that cause people to not be in love anymore - I wasn;t denying that

I think its completely possible to love two men at the same time. it would be hard and I hope Im never in that position, but I dont believe that there is just ONE man out there for us and that hes the ONLY one. I Think there a bunch of Mr. Rights for us, but we meet a man, we fall in love and thats why marriage is a commitment, because we commit ourselves to one person. Doesnt mean another person might not come along and throw your heart for a whirl. i think its totally possible, we love for different reasons, and like I said..I wouldnt ever want to be in that position, it would be extremely difficult. but yes..I think its possible.

Yes, I do think you can have 'feelings' for two people at the same time.....but I DON'T think you can love two people at the same time. I think people are confused by their feelings more often than not. For example, someone who 'loves' their significant other, but cheats and claims to 'love' the person they cheated with. That just isn't possible to me. You don't cheat on someone you REALLY love, you're probably just not able to admit to yourself you don't really love that person anymore. I don't know. That was a tangent. Sorry...

Tania! I know exactly what movie you're talking about....but I'm blanking on the name!!! It had really good music in it.... my french prof recommended it to me

I saw it long time ago, so I don't remember the name but I was thinking about it the other day when I saw this other french movie called affair of love or something like that.

i somewhat agree with this. i am such a split person. one part of me believes in total and utter true love, that there is one soul out there that was created just for you and you need to find that soul to be complete. just like greek stories about how humans used to have two heads, 4 arms and legs and an evil god split everyone in two and now we need to find that person.

however, there is another part of me that feels that people choose their paths and that the chosen path becomes the fated path. the same idea for soulmates...that people can almost assign someone the role of soulmate. i just can't express my thoughts about this well enough.
