Ok this is SO random. But I live for Starbucks, it is really so good. When I order my drink, I do feel obligated to tip since there is that cup right there in plain view, but at the same time it is SO $$$ for a Grande drink that I kind of don't want to tip. The actual amount of time required to ring me up and make my drink is a minute - UGH tipping guilt. So do you tip?

I tip. I always go to the same Starbucks and they are so nice to me. Maybe it is because I have bartended for 14 yrs and feel a kinship with the baristas. I also can't blame the employees for the high cost of the product. They didn't set the price point.

if i go to a restuarant for a to go item... it depends if they are nice to me... if they seem pissy or rushed i dont..but i usually give a dollar or two..bc i was a hostess who had to put togethe those to go orders and it was a serious pain in the booty!!

I dont tip at starbucks, but i do tip at dunkin donuts now and then, but that is only b/c they have my coffee ready as soon as i walk in the door every morning. I dont tip every day, but once in awhile i stick $2-3 in the jar. Everyone is right, they get paid to do a particular job, soon everyone will have a tip cup in front of them, its getting a little nuts

I don't tip unless you are a bellboy, waitress, wash my car, or do my hair! Well, you get the point! My DnD has one of those cups and I'm in there everyday but I don't do it. Boston Market was my 1st job, and I never got tips there, in fact, no one ever tipped me at any job! My friend put it best: You are walking 3 feet over to the coffee, pouring it, and ringing me up for $1.60. How does that constitute getting tipped?!
I worked at Boston Market too when I was in high school! LOL

Do you guys tip McDonald's or Taco Bell too? I don't see the difference. They serve drinks and food behind a counter. That's not a restaurant.
