My FH wants to wait but I want to try to have one right after the wedding. I am 33 and I don't want to wait. Even my Gyno says not too but he wants to find a house first etc...... It is never the right time. What do you gals think?

I know some people who haven't gotten the house first- and they still don't have one

I want a honeymoon baby but I have to talk to FH about it, I am going to be 30 by the time we get married, he will be 26, going on 27

as soon as the honeymoon is over I will be coming of the pill, I don't want to mess with my hormones before that, although I would love a honeymoon baby

I think you should do what's right for both of you. FH and I have discussed and as much as we want a family right away (he's 40 and I'm soon to be 35), we both agree that with all the stress this past year has brought (between plannng a wedding, buying a house, moving, etc....), that it's best we wait at one year before starting to try for a baby.
Trust me, my clocking is not only ticking, it's BANGING away! But I know what's best for us is to wait. Marriage is an adjustment for anyone, even those that already live together (and we do not live together, although we bought a house together, I live there now and he will move in after the wedding). And I know living together is going to be a major adjustment.
But again, I think it depends on what feels right for you. Everyone is different.

I totally agree....it's never a right time....
But we're going to wait a while. I would love to travel with FH before we have a baby...but the bug is bitting!

I want one sooo bad. I love kids. Fh will be 30 in January. I don't want him to be any older. I'm 23, I think thats a perfect age. Buy the time we are 55 we can actually RETIRE!!!! So if not a HM baby no more than 1 yr later.

I do want to enjoy our 'Newlywed Stage' but come on, we both have 'been there and done that'. I 've known the kid since I'm 19. I don't know if it happens right away then so be it!

We're ready to roll! We've already been together 6 years, have a house, a dog... we just need a wedding and a baby! Plus FH is turning 30 and I'm turning 27 (omg) so we feel ready.
Actually, FH jokes that we should try to make a flowergirl because we don't have one!!!

We'll be waiting. Funny thing is that at one point we wanted to start a family pretty quickly, but seeing people that we know who have had kids made us realize we want to wait a little while and that as much as we love little kiddies, we really aren't ready yet. B/n the wedding planning this year, buying a condo, FH finishing up grad school and doing that FT and working FT, we realized that we definitely need some time together before we have a little one. Such an individual thing though........

I want to right away, but FH wants to wait too. His excuse is he feels that we should save more since we're paying for the wedding, which is a lame excuse. We have a house, good jobs, and by the time we get married I'll be 29. I don't want to wait much longer, b/c ideally I would like 2 children, with at least 2 to 3 years in between them.
I'm thinking he may be more receptive after the wedding. . . I hope.
