FH & I are taking a cruise in November (can't wait) this is our first trip together since we became engaged in May.
I'm just wondering for any of you that have gone away this summer; did you wear your rings in the ocean/pools?? I had my ring sized so it's snug and wouldn't fall off; but should i stil keep it in the room safe during the day while we're on the islands doing any water related activites and only wear it at night on board the ship? What about our days at sea? While i'm in the pool just hanging out and not really submerging my hand is it ok?
Sorry-just being paranoid!

I agree, Better safe than sorry! I do not wear my ring washing dishes or in the shower. I never take it off washing my hands (and I work in a school so I am constantly washing) I know it feels funny not to have it on your finger, but you would feel terrible if you lost it.

i dont wear mine in the shower just cuz i take all my jewelry off but i have worn mine in the ocean and pool. my ring is a tight fit so its not going anywhere. i havent had any problems with discoloration. mine is white gold and has discolored naturally because thats just what white gold does. i plan on getting it redipped before the wedding.

i work in a jewelry store and it all depends on the gold and what kind of chemicals are in the pool and what not. i tell my costumers to take it off if they are washing their hands to cooking and cleaning... u cant imagine the amount of stuff i have seen stuck to rings.. its pretty gross...

I have never worn my ring in the pool or ocean. I have this HUGE fear of the center stone falling out or something. LOL

I definately don't wear mine in the pool or the ocean, and I take it off when I take a shower.
