Yes, everyone really likes each other. This past Janary they met for the first time, and my parents came up from Boston and stayed in NY for the weekend. Every night my parents stayed at my FILs house until midnight before going back to the hotel, and they all had such a good time just sitting and talking. It was wierd. Usually my parents are not the super-social type. But FILs are, so they made my parents feel really comfortable. The second meeting will be in July, when FILs come to my parents' house for our annual 4th of July BBQ.

Yup... My FMIL is usually with my family on Christmas in fact.... Her and FFIL are divorced though, so my parents don't speak to FFIL as regularly... He has had dinner with my parents a few times though, and they get along.

They don't really get to see each other much since my Dad lives upstate, but when they do get together it's so lovey lovey smoochie kissy that it makes me sick...Ok...I love that they all get along.

FH's father passed away almost 4 years ago and his mom lives in Puerto Rico. She came to NY last summer and met my parents for the first time. Her and my father clicked right away, my father is Puerto Rican as well and I think he enjoyed speaking to someone in Spanish since no one else in my family speaks Spanish. There is a 20 year age difference between the inlaws; my dad is not quite 60 and FMIL is 80. I think FMIL reminded my dad of his mother who lives in Florida and he doesn't get to see her too often.

They really haven't meet yet!!! I know its really bad, considering I am getting married in 2 1/2 months!!!

My mom and Fmil are from very different ethnic backrounds(FMIL is from Guyana and mom is Iltalin)but they are very much alike being so different

My parents met my MIL at the wedding. My parents will never meet my FIL, he is too abrasive and I don't want any problems

My Family and my in-laws get along really well. DH parents are closer in age to my sister and BIL. My Mom is more like a mother to my MIL

This is a lil complicated!

FI's mom passed away, tho he thinks she would've gotten along with my mom just fine. FI has no relationship with his father or step-father. I'm really close with my mom but I have almost no relationship with my dad or my step-mother, they haven't even met Kevin yet. So FI's aunt and uncle (step-father's bro) are standing in as his parents bc they've always been there for him.

So the answer to the question as far as we're concerned is, yes my mom and his aunt and uncle get along great!!

Amazingly well, FIL's even came up to may parent's lake house when we went to see our hall! We spend every Father's Day together and even Thanksgiving and Christmas last year!

We play 'screw your neighbor' every time we get together and have such laughs, drinking wine, telling stories, it's almost a little scary!

My parents get along well with my FIL's, but they don't call each other or hang out at all.

my parents aren't fond of my MIL. not too many ppl are but we keep on the down low, ya know. my FIL is chill. he's a cool guy to joke around with and maybe carry a 2 minute conversation with.. even my FIL doesn't get along with his wife - my MIL. she's a WITCH!

Our sets of parents get along quite well, surprisingly.
