Re: Do your scanners have a switch to turn off?

My doesn't either! I think it's the dumbest thing I ever heard of. I plug and unplug it when I need to use it. A little pain in the a$$!

Re: Do your scanners have a switch to turn off?

It's OKAY NOVEMBER - there is no switch on scanners, they are activated when you go into the program. After you're done and it's idle for a while, the bulb will turn off itself and it will go dormant so to speak.
When you go into the program on your PC, it will take a minute to warm up.

Thanks Lizlen2003. The green button is always lit as if it was on the whole time. But now that you say that,it does take a while to warm up.

Re: Do your scanners have a switch to turn off?

lol. when I first got my scanner, I spent about 30 minutes looking for the power switch. There was none.
The piece of crap has since broken.

Re: Do your scanners have a switch to turn off?

Mine actaully does have a switch in the back - it's an older scanner though. I've never had a problem though itf I've left it on. But, we have one here at work that also has a switch and if we don't turn it off, it gets really hot.
