That sounds great, but those are all the things my BM and MD told me were their jobs...
But I def. wouldn't mind having someone to double check everything...the less stress for me the day of, the better!

You BM and MD can help you only at your hall as far as the details go for your reception. They won't get as involved with vendor issues like a DOC.
Be sure to get feedback from other brides who were married at your hall that the BM/MD do pay attention to all details.
At my e-party, my MD was very hard to find at times and my head waitress as well. Half of the tables never had their wine bottles opened until the main entree course was almost over before I finally found someone. If this was my wedding, a DOC would have been the one to check on those details to make sure everything you want gets taken care of.
