get one! i think every bride deserves one the day of ( if you can squeeze it into your budget).

Re: DOC
My FH feels the same way. I feel like we need one, so I'll see. Even if it's just for a few hours before we get to the RH where we will have the bridal attendant...
Maybe try someone who charges hourly rates and just use them before the reception?

Re: DOC
Based on other brides' reviews, I'd say they'd be very helpful. Men don't understand what goes into planning for the day or what goes into running the day smoothly, and they don't know what they don't know, so I can understand how at first glance it could seem silly. I'd try tot alk to him about it again.I'm considering hiring one, trying to work it into our already very inflated budget.

I havent decided yet LOL. I need recommendations. I do not want to spend alot because I am a control freak and will prob end up doing everything myself! But i really like the idea of having someone work for me the day of.. I dont want to make my mom, BMs, anyone be my b*tch !

Re: DOC
i am.
When my sister told me she was doing this, i thought she was CRAZY. but after seeing it all happen...MAN
1- it lets you AND YOUR FH just be at your wedding. You don't have to worry about food or cars or vendors or money. She does that.
2- it lets the BP just be at your weddinig. I didn't have to worry about my sisters flowers or lip gloss or hair or veil. It was SO NICE
3- anything that goes wrong is TAKEN CARE OF!! Each of my 3 sisters used Francesca of Dazzling Affairs (she is like a family member now!) and each of them had something go wrong at the wedding- crasher, limo issue, AC issue...and they ALL didn't even know about it until we told them the next day!!!!
4-she takes care of all the stuff (calling vendors to confirm) the week before the wedding and is there AT ANYTIME AFTER YOU BOOK her for ANY QUESTION YOU HAVE. ANd if you have a good and well known DOC, she can give you recommendations for vendors, and generally its a 'tell them you are one of my brides' and that = discounts, special treatment and ALL GOOD THINGS!
A DOC, a good one- is worth their weight in gold i think. Its not for everyone, but it is REALLY nice to have.

Re: DOC
yes they are the best thing EVER!!!! My mom goes psycho nuts when getting ready for things so I want noone to worry about a thing. I dont want to know about anything until after the wedding. I just want me, FH and my grils and my family to have fun and enjoy the day. Its the best money I think Im spending on the wedding period.

Re: DOC
Fh and I went through the same thing and I was on the fence for awhile. Then my MOH reassured me that her and the BMs will be there to help with everything and set up a schedule (something I've been worrying about) and make sure everything runs smoothly so I dropped it for a while. But now I kinda think i want one again. I'm adding to the wish list at least. Good luck with whatever you decide. If anyone has any good prices they could FM me I would really appreciate it

Re: DOC
I def. think it's worth it (but it's you & ur FH paying). A DOC is only with your the day of. So you can be doing a superb job planning everything right now on your own; but the day of...you don't want to have to worry about wrangling bp members; dealing w/any last minute people that show up that didn't rsvp and the rh needs to know where to sit them...the photographer that is lost and needs help finding directions.
i think it's a great investment if you have the money to pay for it. DOC just help relieve some of the added stress that can potentially develop the day of the wedding. Lord only know what can go wrong-but with a DOC maybe you won't! LOL!

i'm using one. i've got the planning under control now, but i'm a perfectionist and a worry wart so i need someone the day of to do the worrying for me. like the other girls said, i don't want to have to worry about the little things the day of, i want to enjoy my day. i also don't want my mom or sister worrying about the little things (since that's who it would fall on if i decided not to get involved).
fh was completely on board and told me he was going to work OT to pay for it since he knows how worked up i get about big events...i think he doesn't want to worry about me having a stroke the day of lol
thats exactly why I am getting one! lol

Re: DOC
Sent you FM but overall I think a DOC is helpful, not required. I think its a really good thing to have if your are having a BIG wedding (100/150+ guests) because a lot of the stresses or possible mishaps are taken care of (as posted above).
If you are having a small wedding and your RH is decent enough to give a GOOD Bridal Attendant (BA), then it may not be necessary. It all depends on how many vendors you're having, size of wedding, bridal party, etc.
