i kinda want to hire one...but i don't think personally it is worth the money.
FH said maybe because he wont be home till 2 days before the wedding but then thinking about it i have gotten done so far what i need to do without one and without FH so I should be okay. Plus i have my mom and sisters who are great.

catie this is exactly how i feel. since we're not having the wedding at a typical RH and no banquet manager i'm nervous about how everything will flow. and getting all my vendors at the vineyard
someone on here recommended Ryan (a girl) from AboveandBeyondLI.com
their website says 'Members of the military and law enforcement receive a special rate'
so i shot them an email. maybe you should check them out too!

I thought about this also... BUT....I know that if anything went wrong or if a vendor didnt show or something like that, I dont want to spend my whole day figuring it out AND I didnt want my family doing it either...so that is why we decided to have one. Plus, they know most of the vendors from working with each other on so many vendors so it is helpful when it comes to the maintainence of the contract....they are on top of making sure what is there is there!

I'm using Lisa @ Elite Affairs, she is an LIW/NYC vendor.
I'm not technically hiring a DOC, but my mother's great friend will be acting as one on the day of. She will be around all day to make sure everything falls into place. Between your MOH, BM, parents, and Bridal Attendant, I really don't think you need one, but that's JMO.

I'm not planning on it. I'm always planning events for work and can't imagine a situation that I couldn't handle without a DOC.
