NERVOUS .. LIKE TOO MUCH DRESS ..LIKE FH STEPPING ON IT .. GETTING DIRTY

haha yeah!!!! i went to try my dress on last night and my moms ring got stuck in my veil when she helped me put it on and i went into bridezilla mode! i freaked and i know that day i will to

I have a few, almost all related to the fact that I am very clumsy. My biggest fear however, is that my dad (who is even more clumsy than me) will step on my dress while walking down the aisle and tear it. My dress is lace, and very delicate, and I could just see it happening!

yea...the front feels like its too short, although they told me its the normal length.

And, im wearing a hoop skirt and I feel like when i dance or sit the whole bottom on the dress is going to pop up or something

My dad stepped on my dress with every single step... didn't tear it, but you can see me wincing as we are walking down the aisle...

Plus, my bustle came undone and wouldnt stay up for the entire wedding... I fell on my @ss many times - including during the lovely cake feeding when I thought DH was going to get me with the cake - woop - there I went - not the most graceful...

plus, I'm a ballroom dancer and couldnt dancer because of the bustle...

and know what? I still had a blast! Things happen on your day that you cant control - if you dont let it go at least on THAT day, then you will be very miserable. I refused to be miserable on my wedding day. I knew I could control at least that much!

OMG please don't worry about these things because....chances are they will happen and you won't even care!

My brother and DH stepped on my dress all day, along with half of the guests. It was too long (because I didn't listen to the seamstress, some of the pick-ups for the bustle came undone, some of the jewels fell off, and the bottom is just DISGUSTINGLY dirty (and I am so bad, I haven't even dropped it off for it's cleaning yet). But I had a great time and those things SO didn't matter!

same as what the other 06ers said. your dress will likley not survive completely unscathed for the entire day. my dress was horribly dirty b/c i was trekking around the city all day taking pics UNbustled.

by the time we got to the hall and my mom and moh were gonna bustle me, one of the buttons had come off during my nyc journey. the bm had to sew the train to the top to bustle it. then one of my guests was walking behind me and stepped on the dress and it came off again - so i had to get sewn up again.

i just picked up my dress yesterday from preservation and they did an amazing job with it. the dress and veil look completely new!!! so anything that happens during the day can be fixed!!

something will definitely happen - don't think about it, just live it up!!!!

I agree - don't let it bother you. Things are going to happen, not only with your dress, and you just have to focus on the good stuff and have a wonderful time!

My dress was also to long and everyone (DH, family, and friends) was stepping on it. I really did not care because I was dancing and having a blast! I dropped it off at the cleaners and they said they could get the dress cleaned to 99.9% perfection, so I really don't care that it got a little dirty on the bottom.

Even though my dress is more on the 'fitted' side it is super heavy. Even without a slip it's just heavy. I was sweating when I was trying it on and am afraid I will be sweating to death during the wedding.

I know i want a ballgown, i am just worried about dancing in it...I think it will get a little difficult at times and probably frustrate me, but i'll find a way lol

My train was really really long, 6+ feet I believe, my father stepped on it when walking to his pew in the church and everyone gasped when he did it, other than that no dress problems....I was exausted from wearing the 50lb dress by the end of the night, but I really had no problems, my bustle didnt budge all night, and I had no problems dancing

My dad stepped on mine too--and it tore as I walked down the aisle. But what can you do???? Smile and move on!

I'm afraid of bustle and veil issues. It must be all the nightmare stories of the bustle falling apart, and brides being prisoners within their own dresses.

I ordered a cathedral length mantilla, so that will be a magnet for damage.... Nothing like 10 feet of lace to help me find every splinter and nailhead on a wood floor!
