Does any have 2 dresses?????

Does any have 2 dresses?????

Does anyone have 2 dresses or considering selling their already ordered dress and purchasing a new one or just having 2?! I am just all over the place with the dress thing and as much as I love my dress I feel like maybe that is the one thing I should have taken my time on. I am considering after paying for my dress actually selling it and doing a little more shopping around...

I'm going to have two. I know it sounds totally extravagant and ridiculous but I really wanted a dress to dance in and i love the look of two entirely different dresses.

My parents are paying for the 'main' dress which is for the church, first dance etc. it's plain, no lace or beading with pick up skirt and the 2nd dress which I will change into is a lace dress a-line for me to dance in and for the 'afterparty.' I thought for sure my mother would like 'NO WAY' but when I told her the idea she was like 'I love it, let's do it!!!'

Really see that is great! I wish I could afford to keep my original one and purchase another one but that isn't the case, so I would have to sell my original dress and just buy a new one. I am out of my mind and have been having this wedding dress issue since the day I started my search...it is a complete second guess factor here.

Is the dress you're having doubts over the one in your album? I think it's stunning actually! Why are you having doubts?

I keep going back and forth. I chose my dress on the first day of shopping. I tried on TONS of dresses and when I put on the one I bought all the girls and my mother and myself took one look at it and said that that is the dress. There was no question in my mind. But it is not at all the dress I thought I was going to buy, and I keep seeing all the girls on here with dresses that I love and I keep thinking to myself, 'Hmm, maybe I should go looking again.' I am very torn!

This is my problem too, i love my dress but then i start thinking how in the beginning I wanted to check out Tara Keely and the price range was perfect for her dresses but i went to BR first and tried on my Ramona dress and went wayyyyy over budget for my dress now and I am regreting that I did that and didn't give myself more time. I think that by seeing the other dresses on here too I am like waitttttttttttt i should keep looking! I feel like making an appointment to try on some of Tara Keely's dresses and maybe that will confirm in my mind for me.

My dress is with my mother in Seattle right now, so I can't even try it on. It is driving me crazy! All i have is a really really really bad picture of me in it and that is not helping at all.

Your dress is gorgeous. I think all brides second guess their dress at one time or another. I bought my dress on my 1st day out. It was nothing like I thought I'd wind up getting. I even had nightmares about it after and had such anxiety over it. I bought it 18 months before my wedding. I can honestly say that I did not go to try on any other dresses after for fear of falling in love with another dress. When I put my wedding dress on the day of my wedding I knew I had made the right decision. Mine was also more than I had wanted to spend but totally worth it.

Your dress is so pretty! I love it. I always thought I would go with something straighter but this one I got is so poofy and the first one i had wasn't poofy enough...i am a mess! lol I might try taking out some of the poofiness in this dress maybe it will help! The problem is I really have to stop looking!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought the very 1st dress i tried on!!!!!!!!!!! Do not get me wrong i tried on a few after that, but i just kept on going back to the first dress.... i bought it and now I will not see it again until june. I was having sever palputations after i bought it, and i am stilll going through that now....especially after seeing everyones dresses.

But i know that there was a reason that i bought the dress i did, the feeling i got when i wore it.... even though i am stressing now, i also can't wait to put it on again.

i ma sadly a 2 dress bride. the reason is due to one of my worst habits - buying something bc its cheap. i found a very nice watters and watters dress on sample and it cost me 395 dollars. i tried it on and it looked great. but when i showed my mom, she didnt think it look elegant enough. so i started searching again and ended up finding the perfect dress. i tried to sell my original but had no luck so maybe ill just do a trash the dress session with it or something. i do kind of regret it now bc i made a hasty decision.

maybe I will post it on the 09 board and see if i get a reponse for it. I have an appointment for the 29th of December to try it on with veils so maybe I will just wait till then and see how my mother likes it (she never saw it on me), fmil didn't like it very much, and I can go from there.

I am also doing two dresses b/c I want to dance as well. Are you doing the garter and bouquet toss? If so are you doing it in the wedding gown?I am trying to figure out when I should change.

I don't but I sorta know what you are feeling. I tried on the dress I eventually bought pretty early and then decided to look around some more since I thought it was too much $.

I decided to get it after I went back to the shop and the deisgner decided to drop the price-still more than I wanted to pay but I LOVE my dress. But there is still this part of me that wishes I could have went to the sample sales just to see if I could have done better price wise-(but only Selia Yang boutiques carry her gowns.) I even contemplated going to the Saks sale-'just to take a look' but I really do love the style of my gown-just wish it was cheaper. I just love getting a bargin in general I think.

Are you having second thoughts because of the price or the style? Because it it is the style...there will always be other dresses that you think...'hmmm, maybe...' But your gown is beautiful. I personally think RK dresses are very beautiful and stylish and elegant.

If is the price...then would it be worth it to cut back in other areas of your wedding to offset the price?

Also at the some point, you have to call it a day and decide 'this is my dress' and you are going to look beautiful regardless because it is you're so happy on your wedding day...sorta hoke-y but sorta true,

hello i think that we are the same person. i too went and bought a dress that, at the time, i thought was THE ONE. however now i am pretty sure it is not. my mother is not really very supportive in the matter and my fiance thinks i have lost my mind. i too have to sell the first before i buy the second. i am really confused too. i don't want to spend a fortune on a dress but i want to love what i walk down the isle in.

I love my dress, but I still drool over other dresses too when brides post their reviews. My dress isn't a giant ballgown with a huge train -- those dresses look sooo pretty in pictures but I need to keep reminding myself that they looked goofy on me. I found that taking pictures of me in my dress helped, because I can go back and look at them. However, I wish I had better ones!

I have been second guessing my dress since the day after I got it. I actually remembering seeing a picture of you in your dress in a previous post and thinking oh my gosh that dress is awesomeon her maybe my dress *****. It seems pretty normal to be doubting your dress decision. Go visit your dress and maybe try on some others. You might remember why you picked your dress and love it compared to the rest. Good luck!!!
