Does any have 2 dresses?????

Original post by emomma17

Does anyone have 2 dresses or considering selling their already ordered dress and purchasing a new one or just having 2?! I am just all over the place with the dress thing and as much as I love my dress I feel like maybe that is the one thing I should have taken my time on. I am considering after paying for my dress actually selling it and doing a little more shopping around...

maybe I will post it on the 09 board and see if i get a reponse for it. I have an appointment for the 29th of December to try it on with veils so maybe I will just wait till then and see how my mother likes it (she never saw it on me), fmil didn't like it very much, and I can go from there.

emomma - i feel so bad when i read these posts... you look stunning, seriously beautiful in your dress. it looks llke the dress was made for you. i know how you feel, i get freaked sometimes too....but then i think that i did pick my dress out for a reason and just relax.
no matter what dress you get, you will gorgeous on your wedding day. but if you are really miseralbe then maybe looking will make you feel better. but you and your dress are beautiful!

I keep going back and forth. I chose my dress on the first day of shopping. I tried on TONS of dresses and when I put on the one I bought all the girls and my mother and myself took one look at it and said that that is the dress. There was no question in my mind. But it is not at all the dress I thought I was going to buy, and I keep seeing all the girls on here with dresses that I love and I keep thinking to myself, 'Hmm, maybe I should go looking again.' I am very torn!

ditto! I just received a post card in the mail for a trunk show where you can 'design' your own dress. take the top of one and put it with the bottom of another. If I had known there was that option I may have waited

Hey there, it is funny because I posted this back in November and since then i've tried it on and all the pictures I am falling more and more in love with it! Even though given the opportunity I would probably still continue to look! lol

I love my dress and when I put it on I never want to take it off!! It cost a fortune but I think it was totally worth it. I am also considering two dresses just because I am worried that I wont be able to dance very well in my dress. Its a mermaid style with a very heavy bottom and long train. My only problem is that I love my dress so much Im not goign to want to change into another dress. I think im goign to wait till I got for my fitting and see how It feels when its not 10X's too big for me.

Is the dress you're having doubts over the one in your album? I think it's stunning actually! Why are you having doubts?

Yeah that is my dress...thank you.

Your dress is gorgeous. I think all brides second guess their dress at one time or another. I bought my dress on my 1st day out. It was nothing like I thought I'd wind up getting. I even had nightmares about it after and had such anxiety over it. I bought it 18 months before my wedding. I can honestly say that I did not go to try on any other dresses after for fear of falling in love with another dress. When I put my wedding dress on the day of my wedding I knew I had made the right decision. Mine was also more than I had wanted to spend but totally worth it.

i just bought my dress and i am so freaked out its not anything like i wanted or pictured myself in and im having the neckline changed so i wont really know how it will look until it comes in - which is 6 months from now.....i think a lot of us go through this.....i am not trying anything else on or looking at anything - im hoping when it comes in i love it and that i will love it on my wedding day

the dress in your album is gorgeous and it looks hot on you! i think you made a great choice

Thank you! I have fallen more and more in love with it. It is a little simple but then again I think that is what I was looking for. Your dress is absolutely stunning and you look amazing in it! You are going to love it when it comes in so don't even second guess yourself.

to everyone who is actually having 2 dresses-- when will you change?

I love demetrios' gowns because of the satin and Cathedral length trains, and there is no way I am dancing in that gown, I dont want the train to be removeable and I truly HATE the attached up trains or the wrist holders--

soooo I need 2 dresses

I love the back of this gown (not the train) -- for either gown the first or the second-- I may need to do a custom gown/gowns does anyone know of any other designers who have similar gowns?

thanks everyone

No way am i changing out of my dress...I love it! and I plan on being a big poofy princess all night long..lol

As for 2nd guessing the trick is not to look at other dresses after you've bought it. You picked the one you got for a reason...so try to remember that. I'm glad as time has passed you are happy with it. Funny that this post is going around now!

oh date twin........YOU LOOK ABSOLUTELY STUNNING IN YOUR DRESS!!!!!!!!!! I too think everyone second guesses and it's all in our blood to love to look at other dresses. If you sell it you might not get back all that you paid for it and I think trying on more dresses will make the situation worse.......of course in the end YOU are the one that has to be happy but I don't think they'll be a dry eye in the house when you walk down the aisle in that dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Does any have 2 dresses?????

Well that is my biggest fear purchasing a dress and not really being sure it is the one. I think that is how people end up with multiple dresses. I am considering doing the two dress thing for my big day, but I am still up in the air.

But if you truly loved the dress the first time you tired it on, I am sure you will love it now.

I know I am not really helping but hey it is a tough choice. I am naturally indecisive.
