My MOH wore gold and my 2BM's were supposed to get the same color but the dresses came in in 2 different shades but they all looked BEAUTIFUL together!! here is the picture of all of us!!

so dont listen to what she says!!

That is just NONESENSE!!! This woman has no clue of what she's talking about...if people aren't 'doing' that anymore than there are more than a few brides on this board who missed that memo... people like that just need to try and bring another person down just to feel better about themselves...don't even give her another thought! I think your bp will look beautiful!!!

It is your wedding. I have seen people where different colors. It still is beautiful. Besides everyone will be looking at YOU!!!!

I think she had some nerve telling you what you should and shouldn't do. My girls also wore a deep plum, and everyone was in the same dress. My Maid and Matron of Honor had a different bouquet and I gave them each a special something for the wedding day. It is up to you if you want your BMs and MOHs to wear. Either way the photos will look very pretty.

I think it was one of those, it bothered me that she said that. I guess I am just really sensitive about the wedding. I want everything to be perfect. FI got into a fight with his mom's mother in law (his mom's 3rd husband's mother) because she told us that what we want to do is not appropriate for a wedding and then told me the dress I like would make me look like a hussy and isnt appropriate for a bride to wear. (its a halter style)

I guess I just get really sensitive to it. Normally yes I agree, its my wedding and bye bye to those who disagree with what I like, but when someone tells me something wont look right i get upset. I am going through all this planning and i dont want the peanut gallery comments unless I ask for it.

What bothers me even more when people tell me what I want and what I dont want.

Chip your FMIL said that to you, thats terrible. Sweetie your wedding will be perfect and thats that.
Keep your head and boundaries up and everything will be fine.

i don't think there are any rules with this.
not only is my MOH wearing a different color & dress, all the girls are wearing different dresses (same color)
if you like what you chose then that's all that matters

wacky it was my FMIL's mother in law. (his mom has been married 3 times. the woman who made the comment was my FMIL's 3rd husbands mom. Sorry for the confussion. I guess when you get married 3 times it gets confussing)

I don't think we all looked half bad!!! 2 BM, 2MOH, and 2 colors!

VAL R. That is a great picture. I dont think it looked funny at all. I liked how there were 2 on each side (one girl in a blue dress and one girl in a red dress on one side and the other 2 on the other side) It was really nice. I am going to do a shot like that. I guess put one MOH on one end and another on the other end. My party is uneven. I have 5 girls total.

I think its a great shot and it doesnt look bad.
